Ques: What is the 5-subject rule for Class 12 CBSE?

Ans: The "best of five" rule for CBSE Class 12 allows students to have their final percentage calculated based on their five highest-scoring subjects, including one mandatory language subject (English), even if they have taken a sixth or additional subject.

This means if a student performs poorly in one of their main subjects, the marks from an additional subject can be used to replace that score to achieve a higher overall aggregate.

Ques: What is the most failed subject?

Ans: While exact "most failed" subjects fluctuate yearly, Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry consistently show high failure rates in CBSE Class 12.

  • According to research and student reviews, Algebra is highlighted as the most failed course.
  • Some estimates say that as many as 40% does not get an acceptable grade.

Ques: Which is the easiest subject in class 12?

Ans: The "easiest" subject for Class 12 depends on individual strengths and interests, but Physical Education is frequently cited as an easy and high-scoring subject. This is due to its practical and less academically intensive nature.
