Dislikes

Rigorous work. From 9 to 5 , it's difficult to study anything other than syllabus.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Under cbcs, the curriculum includes lab works , field visits , workshops , SEC , VAC . The program smoothly prepraes for higher studies msc and research careers . The syllabus is academically solid and standard for a strong life-science foundation. Includes Strong core syllabus with modern biology exposure.

The college infrastructure is one of the best in campus.
The focus on academics and efforts in producing remarkable results.
The professors are always helpful and considerate of our problems.

Dislikes

We get a limited amount of break in our course due to hectic schedule.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The college follows NEP and the curriculum fulfills all the necessary knowledge required at undergraduate level. NEP also adds VAC, AEC and SEC as extra subjects that feel irrelevant at time. However someone can utilise it well to develop an understanding of other fields too. The exam difficulty is moderate but requires complete knowledge of the syllabus to score well.

Life at hansraj college of zoology student

Likes

ac availbility in classroom that makes it easy to study in summers in classroom
availability of wifi in whole campus which makes it easy accessibility to students
lab in science department is well equipped with good equipment's and chemicals with efficient space

Dislikes

there is no big auditorium like that in other college , the hrc auditorium is still in progress
the fees is very high in compared to other du college and it makes difficult
the hostel is closed as of now and there are very few and limited seats in hostels for students

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course curriculum is nice as the course provides deep insights about the animal biology i am enjoying learning about it and the faculty hear makes it very fun in understanding the concepts and keen interest students can approch the teachers to get into any research papers and stuffs so it makes very practical knowledge based too under the guidence of these talented professors we can learn many things from their experiences so i like being in this , the exams are lil fast and itr affects mostly like it seems the exams comes very fast after some break like after diwali and after holi and stuff so yea exams comes bit fast and are lil lenghty , extending upto a month or more also about vac sec and aec they takes necessary time from studnents and dont add much value to the students , some students feel they are too much and dont wanna study these subjects

Hansraj College - A Comprehensive review

Likes

Really liked how diverse the college is. Its full of people from different parts of the country and from different background. The college life in general is really bustling and lovely. Everyone is really friendly and helpful.
Most rooms in the college are equipped with multiple ACs which is something that even top colleges like stephen's and hindu lack
The library of the college is very well equipped with all types of course and non course books.

Dislikes

The amount of people in the college is quiet large making the college quiet dense compared to other DU colleges.
The administration of the college is a bit of a headache. You might face trouble when you'll have to interact with them.
The number of papers offered in some semester is quiet less. You might might it troubling in a few semester when there are no good quality papers available

Placement Experience:

The placements are fairly decent. Although majority of the people who get placed are mostly from two courses - BCom(H) and Economics. I've seen some real top companies visit the college like Goldman Sachs and Bain. People from science courses don't get a large amount of placements. People from Maths and Computer Science still have heavy chances of getting placed.

As Hansraj College is one of the prestigious college of North campus of Delhi University. Along with all facilities the placement of Hansraj College is best average package is 600000 or 800000 but highest package are above 3000000 I guess

Hansraj College, Why should you come here!

Likes

The first thing is the environment of the campus. It has lots of greenery.
The infrastructure of the departments and equipment availability is awesome.
The faculty members are very nice and supportive.

Dislikes

Sometimes it feels like the college puts a lot of strain on the students.
The schedule is very tight particularly for science students.
Hostel has a lots of restrictions which makes you feel like a school kid.

Placement Experience:

The placements depends on your CGPA. Students become eligible after 4th semester onwards. There are many companies which visit our campus, for example like Pfizer. Approximately 80 to 85 percent students gets campus placement. I have to pursue masters after this course.

Comprehensive Review of Hansraj College

Likes

This college has a really good crowd, as it has students who are serious about their career and other perspects.
This college is strict in comparison to some other colleges.
It is peaceful at Hansraj College. Other colleges have protests often.

Dislikes

Atmosphere during election time in this college is not good.
Teachers are sometimes careless. That affects the performance of the college.
Extracurricular activities are limited. Societies are not supported much by the administration.

Placement Experience:

Most of the students in this course pursue Msc after completing their bachelors. Scope of employability is high only after PHD. However, some students manage to get a job through the college placements.

Dislikes

A tad bit too strict and I have no idea about the fests itself

Placement Experience:

I think 3rd year students after 6th sem become eligible for placements? Accenture, Deloitte, etc. come to the college as far as I know. Highest package was around 22LPA, median package was around 10-11LPA Percentage of students??? depends on course, higher in commerce. But if you know how to find opportunities, its easy to get placed with decent salary. Plans? I want to do MBA from FMS or IIM-A

Awesome faculty. All teachers are very understanding & emphatic towards students.
Great emphasis & promotion of Indian culture.

Dislikes

Canteen food quality can be improved a little.
Minor Research opportunities can be provided to 1st years students to provide initial exposure
Eminent Celebrities can be called out in fests

Placements are provided. Many elite companies visit our college. Most of the students of this course are selected for jobs like Content writing, teaching, research assistant. Most placements for our course, require Masters (MSc.), in some cases offers are made for graduates too.

Hansraj - The Reality

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am interested in studying animal biology 69:1. Qualification is good but some teachers don't know how to teach. Term exams after 6 months but our department was not fun loving at all. There was a lot more seriousness than a hospital general ward. Teachers used to impose subjects even in the availability of cbcs mode.

One of my friends graduated with a B.A Economics (H) from Hansraj last year. So, I think I can answer your question.

Here are some of the best things about the institute.

This college has an ‘old world’ feel. The infrastructure of the college is great.
The fee structure is affordable as compared to other private colleges.
It has some incredible graduates, including Shahrukh Khan, Ranvijay, and Anurag Kashyap. The list is really long.
Amazing crowd, the individuals here are both fun and hardworking at the same time. Admission is based on merit in qualifying examinations.
Some of our professors are truly amazing, you will not find such professors at other colleges, even SRCC.
There are many societies to explore like dramatics, photography society, and fine arts society, etc.
The hostel was my friend’s home for three years, and there is simply no better place to stay when studying at Hansraj. However, it doesn’t have a girls’ hostel.
North Campus has the best college location.

You will not regret choosing the institute.
