Decoding the Prestigious Hansraj College

From 10th grade onwards, I liked Biology, hence I wanted to pursue my higher studies in biological sciences. For theory (lectures) faculty:student ratio is like 95:1 & for practicals it's like 30:1. All teachers are minimum PhD holders & different teaching methods are involved like blackboard, presentation, oral lecture, digital resources, etc. Our semester 1 started in August & exams started in December. Exams are easy & not difficult to pass at all.

IQAC Internal Quality Assurance Cell's paid internship is there. Mental Health Advocate internship of Counselling unit is there. Content Writing, Subject Matter Expert, research internships are there.

Placements are provided. Many elite companies visit our college. Most of the students of this course are selected for jobs like Content writing, teaching, research assistant. Most placements for our course, require Masters (MSc.), in some cases offers are made for graduates too.

Fees has to be paid yearly. Numerous scholarships & financial assistance are available for needy & meritorious students. Scholarship are also available for SC, ST, OBC, PWD, etc. Given the number of facilities, this course is affordable. Cost to study is 90k.

Crowd quality is good. More than 75+ societies are there. Infrastructure is nice, all round the year construction & development work is going on. The whole college is centrally air conditioned. Annual fest Confluence takes place in February. Well stocked library is there with all required books available. Hygienic washrooms, common rooms, spacious sports ground, gardens, decent canteen, numerous food outlets like Nescafe, Coca Cola, Amul are there, 2 Auditoriums, 2 Seminar Halls, Open amphitheatre, gym, indoor badminton court, medical room, counselling unit, safe RO water stations. Department of Physical Education handles all the sports activities & multiple sports tournaments are organized on a regular basis.

Admission process is simple. It is done through CUET - Central University Entrance Test, usually held in month of May after Boards Examinations. For Bsc. (Hons) Zoology, merit will be counted as per marks obtained in 3 domains : Physics, Chemistry, Biology. Along with that, you must appear & pass in one language (English/Hindi). Application form is released on NTA website. Application fees is around 1000 rupees.
