As i already tell you about the college placement services there s a great opportunity for you to place in high school as a elementary teacher m the salary package is so good and depends on the schools .
There are scholarships which are provided to students when their marks are appropriate and things like that.
I love the infrastructure. it is made of beautiful red bricks, bringing with it the typical du vibe. also has a beautiful field, which is the students' favourite in cold winter months.

Dislikes

My classmates were bitchy as hell. Very jealous and very fake.
The infrastructure is not very great rather it's on the negative side
The infrastructure is very bad, the washrooms especially are not clean. There is very less space, students often don?? get rooms. The campus is really small, however, a new building is under construction and may be functioning by next year.

The Gargi fresher's POV

Likes

I liked that the students are friendly and since it's a girl's College, there's no gender
I also liked that there are our many dogs and rabbits, especially the college's favourite dog Dolly. She's the heart of Gargi.
There are also many trees and the sacred garden has many plants that I've never seen before.

Dislikes

I absolutely disliked the student council and their corrupt nature. They are just following the principal and professors like their servant instead of bringing changes and growth.
I disliked the rude watch lady at the gate and her insulting way of talking to the students and their parents. She doesn't even let a child with physical disability be guided to their respective classes with her parents.
I also disliked the infrastructure, basically the washrooms. They are horrible and so unhygienic that I'd rather wash it myself than go to that messy place. People really need to learn civics sense and the maids need to do their job properly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course is English Honours and we study a lots of different greek and indian plays in it. Most of them are based on Gender discrimination and how Patriarchy affects the growth of society. We also study the old epics like Mahabharata and also about the trojan war. Somehow, all our plays and novels are interconnected and our professors helps us in identifying the similarity between Indian ancient texts and Greeks epics and many other civilizations. The results are mostly similar and we also find that all the epics have a similar consequence of birth and growth. We study about human nature and how no-one is perfect and everyone have flaws. Even the gods were flawed and the dark secrets hidden by the unquestioned glories are also being revealed. We learn how people survive through the societal pressures and how it affects them. The curriculum prepares us for the real world by showing us the truth of the society and how it's hidden by the world. It helps us to know our potential and makes us ready to fight and stand up for ourselves. Reading epics and analysing them helped me to be perfectly ready to face the world and question the old conservative ideology.

The Gargi

Likes

The canteen is good but the varities are not enough for the students
The environment of the college is good there is a lot greenery because of the plants and there are also peacock and rabbits in the college
The faculties are good and also supportive the environment of the college is really good and the seniors are very supportive they won't left our side or our group until we know every procedure of the college

Dislikes

There are not much varities for the food and the students who come from PGs can't get enough food
Sometimes the faculties don't behave good and they don't describe the devision of the marks
Sometimes classes get cancelled and the students get the news after reaching the college or an hour before the classes which is not good

The course teach us to critical anaylse any situation, it teaches us to not only think about it's negative or positive impact but also think it's opposite and what are the other things can happen instead if it wouldn't happpen

Likes

I liked gargi campus as it has a. Big ground and there are a lot of trees and plants which make it refreshing
The fellow classmates and students are really friendly and helpful
Gargi college really helped in my personal development

Dislikes

Some of the faculty are a real headache to deal with
There are not a lot of options in canteen
There's no hostel which leads to living in pgs which causes a lot of trouble

Placement Experience:

I am in first year of college so have not had chance to get to know much about placement but most of my seniors have either gone abroad for further studies or for jobs or they are doing their masters in top colleges in India

Gargi : The Barbie World

Likes

I like the campus, it's red walls are more than just bricks and walls.
I like the biodiversity here. We have 2 dogs, one peacock and so many rabits in the campus
I like the faculty and crowd of the college

Dislikes

I don't like the washrooms here which are not cleaned
I don't like the canteen which has a very limited menu
The college is too academically oriented

I have my plans to do Masters after my degree and apply for net examination as I want to opt the profession of a professor and Complete my PhD. I like teaching and interacting with students so I have decided to do so.

The College

Likes

The campus is good and it is women college so there is no boys and the environment of the college is peaceful
The faculties of English department is good and help a lot
The seniors are also very helpful and also help whenever you ask them

Dislikes

The canteen isn't good it is costly and doesn't give a good amount of food, for ex the students of pg can't get enough food
The washrooms are not clean and classroom of are small
The teachers don't clarify the division of the marks

1. Well I want to pursue my carrier as an English professor so that's why I chose this course. 2. The course helps me or people to think about something in many perspective for ex it give us idea to question about things such as why, what if and also to think about something critically.

First i would like to say which is *No harrasment till now*
Second all function celebrate with on good level
Third i will say if there will be go bad thing in college action will be take immediately

Dislikes

In sports there is somewhere partiality, biasness.
For choosing the additional courses in college too much problem create
Nescafe person's behavior is actually rude.

I am doing ba program (Computer application (CA) + Entrepreneuship and small business) the course attracted me because of computer is very future based course and in now days its necessary on some level. As i am doing CA its very helpful for me for ???? future???? purpose. And there are some other additional courses as well which is very important for understand the purpose of real world amd they are. To be honest there are some course which we are not able to do because of some teacher Unavailability. I gave exam of PWD as a scribe for this student some exam time given to him/her but some teacher are like that they do so much hurry up

I love the most about my college is that it has so many courses and due to that there is a lot of diversity and people from around the country are there in the college and we get to interact and Learn from them a lot .
The faculty are very nice and helpful they are a hella supportive. Almost all of them have phd in there respective subject and they are very well versed.
Our ground in the campus is also very good and very big it is very spacious and proper sitting arrangements are there . The canteen and Nescafe are very good.

Dislikes

Our college campus is a little bit smaller which is bad as there are so many students and the classes are also less which creates a lot of problems as students aren't able to get classes when they have class.
Teh infrastructure of our college is not that good there are no proper air conditioning even fans are not good and in working condition we have to face a lot of problems in summer season .
The windows are also broken in many of the classes which creates a lot of problems as birds enter in the classes and in winters also there is a lot of problems.

After the completion of 3 year you are eligible for the placement but I have no as such information about that cause I don't believe in the placement of college and I don't think they will be able to offer a good placement. My plans after getting degree is either I will do upsc or state pcs or I will continue doing my pg from economics and psychology.

Why Gargi?

Likes

College faculty is very well qualified and experienced.
Being an all girls college it is very safe for each girl
The wide variety of courses here ensure everyone can study.

Dislikes

The infrastructure could be worked upon, especially the washrooms.

Placement Experience:

3rd year students are eligible for placements. Companies usually hire from the commerce department but many hire students from arts disciplines as well. I think on an average, minimum 7 gpa would ve sufficient for securing good placements. Big 4 companies also visit and massively recruit each year.

My experience in gargi college was very good all Seniors are too helpful and too helping nature maintaining the discipline
One postive experience I noticed that friendly environment no bullying and always supporting no any type of attitude.
My personal experience i gave audience in one society i selected in round 1 but i rejected in round 3 as a final but i have no any complaint to the seniors because of her nature that was too friendly

Dislikes

Canteen staff was too aggressive and loud nature which was l really hate.
Dancing society have too high standards they have too much ego about the societies
Guard staff also too rude onwards student.

Gargi is a hot commodity of DU!!

Among one of the biggest campuses in DU with a total area of around 13 acres.
T&P Cell of Gargi is the best as not just placements but they help us in providing intenrships too.
Nescafe parlour has ensure that my coffee cravings are always satisfied within the campus itself.

Dislikes

The crowd as we don't have students from all states of the India which top colleges like SRCC or the Hansraj has.

Placement Experience:

T&P cell invites us for the placements mostly in the last semester but some students are invited from the 7th semester itself. Banks have favoured our college and especially our stream as analyst roles are awarded to students of our course. From ICICI, American Express to Federal Bank, we have enough job assurity now than ever it was in Gargi college.

It is one of the best colleges under DU. Here is some information regarding Gargi College.

In 2021, it was ranked 9th for arts by Indiatoday 2021.
The college infrastructure is quite good.
The student crowd is decent. You will get to meet all kinds of people on campus.
Quite often, the cultural societies of the college put up great shows be it dance, street play, or music.
According to the recent placement highlights, the highest CTC offered to the students is around 12 LPA.
Some of the major companies that visit the campus placements are Deloitte, KPMG, PWC, etc.
