As i already tell you about the college placement services there s a great opportunity for you to place in high school as a elementary teacher m the salary package is so good and depends on the schools .
There are scholarships which are provided to students when their marks are appropriate and things like that.
I love the infrastructure. it is made of beautiful red bricks, bringing with it the typical du vibe. also has a beautiful field, which is the students' favourite in cold winter months.

Dislikes

My classmates were bitchy as hell. Very jealous and very fake.
The infrastructure is not very great rather it's on the negative side
The infrastructure is very bad, the washrooms especially are not clean. There is very less space, students often don?? get rooms. The campus is really small, however, a new building is under construction and may be functioning by next year.

The originality of gargi

Likes

Gargi college being a girls college feels like home to all the student. The infrastructure and facilities like library, canteen, labs, projectors really help the students.
The possibilities of social interactions are endless with many societies and their events and fests that take place throughout the year.

Dislikes

The infrastructure is a pro and con for our college. Being a girls college we expect proper washrooms but in our college we have only 3 washrooms which are functional and somewhat usable
The lack of ac in classes is also a con for our college during summers.
Less interactive teachers and leniency is a major disadvantage.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum in terms of relevance does not cater to students. We have 7 exams in 1 semester out of which 3 subjects are of no use to us in any way. The classes takes for those 3 subjects comapritito the effect it has is very high. In my opinion not having these subjects would be much more beneficial to the students

Gargi College for Academics (Applied Psychology)

Likes

The professors are great at teaching and put plenty effort into taking their teachers out of the box.
The placement is good. There are internship offers across the season. They also hold internship and placement fairs for students.
The curriculum is perfect for CUET and other master programs that one may aim for

Dislikes

The infrastructure is very bad, the washrooms especially are not clean. There is very less space, students often don’t get rooms.
The campus life and quality of social experiences is not great. G
The curriculum may get a little burdensome for some. Attendance is marked and proff show preference for students who are present.

Placement Experience:

Campus placements exist but very few come for the Applied Psychology course. Campus placements are offered mostly for commerce fields. Companies like Deloitte also come. Highest package was 25 LPA. Average is usually 2-3LPA. Not a lot of students get placed. I am now working from a college placement offer, i did not sit for placements but they share opportunities on the group even after graduation.

Gargi College- Why you must join

Likes

As Gargi college is an all girls college, safety is the biggest advantage. It is located in a safe and green area of south delhi, making it comfortable for students and their parents.
I love the infrastructure. It is made of beautiful red bricks, bringing with it the typical DU vibe. Also has a beautiful field, which is the students' favourite in cold winter months.
The college has vibrant atmosphere, with active societies and clubs who conduct activities and competitions all year long.

Dislikes

The campus might seem a little small when compared to other south campus colleges like JMC and Venky. However it has its own charm that definitely grows on you.

Placement Experience:

Students usually become eligible for placements in the beginning of their fifth semester. However with the change in educational policy that has allowed the students to choose between a 3/4 year program, there might be changes. Top companies like Deloitte, Accenture, EY, Justdial, etc have been regular recruiters. The number of offers made to students from humanities and commerce background is greater as compared to science students. The highest package made till now has been 21.5LPA, while the average is usually around 5-6 LPA. Overall, the college has a high placement rate.

Gargi- A Diverse Universe

Talking about the faculty, the teachers and department heads were really helpful in covering up my syllabus.
The multiple clubs, events and activities happens throughout the year that makes attending college in such a vibrant environment more fun.

Dislikes

Canteen food was very basic and felt artificial.
Sometimes the curriculum becomes too vast to cover.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Being a political science student I felt the syllabus was vast but necessary. We learned about multiple political philosophers and their diverse ideas on varying concepts, we studied the international arena now and in the past, we went through deep analysis of Indian and international thoughts, and much more. The exam is conducted the same throughout the university. It is neither too difficult nor too easy but it is way too lengthy to be able to complete 4 big answers in mere 3 hours.

An insight to Gargi College

Likes

The sports council and sports department is great and very enthusiastic towards what they do.You also get coupons daily for the canteen which save expenses.
Societies are very active. Every other day there's some kind of event going on.
The faculties are great too with sufficient experience and knowledge

Dislikes

The infrastructure is not very great rather it's on the negative side
Canteen used to be very unhygienic although it's getting better

Placement Experience:

Usually those who are in 3rd year are eligible for campus placement.Other than that internships are there for all years.The highest i believe has gone to 21 lac in year 2023 and average is 4 or 5 lac.Other than that companies such as Wipro ,S and P Global and 200+approached the college.

The environment of college is too good everyone was accomodating and helpful
The societies is the best part of this college .
This college provide you various opportunities to develop yourself

Dislikes

Infrastructure is not that good fans ,wifi etc not working
I don't like the timetable of our program it was so bad sometimes you have your class at 8:30 and next at 2 and you have to wait in library till the next

Overall course curriculum is good .Teachers will teach you according to syllabus alloted to your course and provide you material too . Small tests also happens so as to prepare you for exams and will support you .

Experience of inexperienced

At first it's people, girls of gargi are so good like just so good.
Secondly I like it how our campus isn't that massive but just big enough have us all enjoy it
Staff is good, they're all so kind. You can lean on them in almost all the cases

Dislikes

Well it's timetable, that's just worse and yes I dislike that the most
It's the travelling which I also happen to hate the most
Nothing else other then that, everything's cool

Course Curriculum Overview:

It's good actually, pretty comprehensive and understandable. There are times when teachers aren't as good as any student would expect but still on the other times it's all good to go with. There are tests in between things like ca have been introduced, exams have been increased even tho it's thrilling it has it's own challenges

Campus life is really amazing. It's so good to be here
Faculty members as well as seniors are soo helping

Dislikes

Infrastructure is not well enough. Ba programme department is the largest department but we still don't have a proper building of own
Placement is also not satisfying enough.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course is ba program with history and political science. I choose this course because it provides me the chance to read about 2 different papers. Since NEP is introduced we need to study 7 papers overall, so I guess it should be changed to the earlier one. Generally exams are held with the gap of 3-4months and level of exam is normal neither too easy nor too hard

-i have commerce in my secondary education, and with that I don't have internet in accounts subject so just going for BCOM I choosed to go with BA Economics (hons) -faculty was not that good, student are around 50 to 60 - no idea of qualifications, they start with the basics of the chapter and then go to the main points -after every 3 months , if u have studied it's good to go

the campus life is fine considering the type of people
the infrastructure is really nice and the college is pretty
the societies are a bit happening and fun

Dislikes

canteen barely has any food and nescafe is expensive
professors take studies for granted and serious ones don't know how to teach
fests are really boring, they used to be good previously

Placement Experience:

the placements are good but aren't really great, i plan to do post grad in future so i wont compulsarily have to work meanwhile but there's a significant percentage of people that dont get placed. good amount of companies come i've heard

It is one of the best colleges under DU. Here is some information regarding Gargi College.

In 2021, it was ranked 9th for arts by Indiatoday 2021.
The college infrastructure is quite good.
The student crowd is decent. You will get to meet all kinds of people on campus.
Quite often, the cultural societies of the college put up great shows be it dance, street play, or music.
According to the recent placement highlights, the highest CTC offered to the students is around 12 LPA.
Some of the major companies that visit the campus placements are Deloitte, KPMG, PWC, etc.
