Course Curriculum Overview

5

I choose B.A. program as I want to do UPSC in my future and yes there are so many Benefits of it . I kept my course preference above my college preference and that is a good decision. The curriculum is very good and up to the mark it will help in further academic pursuits. The exams are held on timely Basis and they are not such hard they are easy.

Internships Opportunities

4

There are various internship offered and they are good . The internship are paid was well as provide certificate and they are reliable. I have done internship at pahchan it is good and in this we have to go to backward areas and teach the poor students every Saturday and Sunday in our free time.

Placement Experience

1

After the completion of 3 year you are eligible for the placement but I have no as such information about that cause I don't believe in the placement of college and I don't think they will be able to offer a good placement. My plans after getting degree is either I will do upsc or state pcs or I will continue doing my pg from economics and psychology.

Fees and Financial Aid

So this year I am in 3 year and my fees is 18645 . The fees increase every year and in my 1 year in college it was around 15000 and in second year it was around 17000 and now it has increased there are not as such major changes but yes it increases. We don't get any scholarship benefits. No fees in college is not affected by the category everyone has the same fees .

Campus Life

4

The campus lufe is neither good nor bad it is average the diversity is so much but the fests are not that good as compared to other colleges. The college ignore our pleas for fests and do not consider us at all . The anuall fest is held on the month of February. The library is so good nad the books are also so good . The facilities in our college and classrooms are not that good they should be improved. There are so many societies and club's in our college like Kshitij and enliven and sparkx .

Admission

As I wanted to choose only a girls college and gargi had my course and the other college did not that's the reason I choose gargi and also lsr was my first choice but unfortunately I did not get it gargi as my second choice I got it . Gargi is a very good college as we see and its ranking is also good. The admission procedure is that we have to give cuet and the percentile cut-off veries and helps in admission. The quota is also a part of it.

Faculty

4

The faculty of my college are very good and helpful they use very good method to teach us and help us in so many ways . The faculty to students ratio is mostly 50 on 1 but in many additional courses and subjects students are more and the teacher is just one but it doesn't create as such of any big problem. In my college I love nishtha ma'am a lot she is such a great teacher her teaching methods are so good and she is a lot supportive as well and understands us a lot. The exams are conducted on tiem and they are not as such difficult they are easy and can be passed easily.

Night Life

3

There is not a good nightlife around the campus they re not as such any hanging spots and like that it's just normal. The cafeteria is good of our college there are a lot of varieties. Our college provide no facilities of hostel which is bad . Out of our college a cafe is there students majorly go there. The safety is also good.

Other Applied Colleges

Lady Shri Ram College for Women - [LSR] | Bachelor of Arts [BA] {Hons.} (Political Science)

As gargi was my second preference I got that college first and lsr was my first preference but I forgot to upgrade my choice .

Course Curriculum Overview:

university of delhi have have started compulsory of courses such as VAC ,SEC and many other skill enhancement courses so that you not only rely upon your degree but you enhance your Interpersonal Skills , Communication Skills ,Speaking Skills as in future all jobs and placements are skill based not degree based so for enhanceing and developing a good personality these courses played a major role. The timings of examination were between 2,30-5,30 Pm 3 hours exam water facility was provided during the exam tenure. If in case you forgot to attend or submit your either of IA/CA you may get an essential repeat er even iof you pass in the written exam .

There were placement Cell initially in JNU that conduct placement but due to most people don't sit for that while persue higher studies that's why it works very slow, they tries to make placed all those students with higher CGPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

British classics, Indian writing, postcolonial literature builds a strong foundation in literary analysis, critical thinking, and interpretation, which are useful skills. As for comprehensiveness, the curriculum is quite broad. It covers multiple literary periods, genres, and critical theories over the three years, so you’re not really missing out on the essentials. In that sense, it feels academically complete. But sometimes, it leans more towards breadth over depth you move quickly from one topic to another.

Placement Experience:

There's a placement cell and placement drives do happen in college but genuinely the package offered is not really considerable. After the 4th semester students are considered to sit in the placement drives though I would say it is not very efficient and fruitful.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

The curriculum was overall good and being a economics honours courses it was challenging at times. The course offers many things for students interms of their further academic pursuits or any placement they are looking for. Talking about the areas of improvement and teaching methods there are none. The exams of the respective subject are to happen. They take test 1 , test 2 and there is final exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The reason why I choose this subject because I like history and want to know more about it . History have the best opportunities to pursue the UPSC , Anthropology, archeology and we can learn more about historical researches . The faculty im the department of history is updated and well versed in the field of history and have adopted student friendly teaching methods which make me suggest this subject in JMC to the students who likes to pursue higher studies in history. The exams are conducted at the end of every semester with moderate difficulty level .
