NTA is expected to release the JEE Main session 2 result by April 20th, along with the All India Rank. The 75-85 percentile corresponds to a rank between 1 lakh and 2.5 Lakh.
The cutoff percentile may differ due to the difficulty level, seat availability, and number of candidates.
- A rank between 1 lakh and 1.5 lakh can offer you a seat in newer or lower -tier NITs, several IIITs and many GFTIs in core branches such as Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, etc.
- You can secure a seat in NITs with a home state quota or in remote NITs for non-CSE branches with a rank between 1.5 lakh and 2 lakh.
- With a rank between 2 lakh and 2.5 lakh, you can get admission to newer NITs, many IIITs and GFTIs in branches such as ECE and IT, etc.
Candidates can secure admission to their state’s NITs or GFTIs with home-state quota, as the cutoffs for the home-state quota are 20-50% more lenient.
If a candidate failed to get a seat during the JoSAA counselling s/he can get admission to the vacant seats during the CSAB counselling after the JoSAA counselling.
