BITSAT and JEE Main are among the top entrance examinations conducted to admit students to B.Tech, B.Arch, B.Plan, & B.Pharma courses. JEE Main is conducted by NTA to offer students admission to various IITs, NITs, and GFTIs nationwide. However, BITSAT is conducted to admit students to B.Tech & B.Pharma in various campuses located in Hyderabad, Goa, and Pilani.
The syllabus for JEE Main and BITSAT for B.Tech courses is almost similar. However, in addition to the PCM syllabus, BITSAT also examines students for English Proficiency and Logical Reasoning. Both JEE Main and BITSAT are conducted based on the physics, chemistry, and Mathematics syllabus for Classes 11th and 12th. As per the paper pattern for JEE Main, there will be 3 sections in JEE Main including Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. However, the BITSAT paper pattern includes 4 sections Physics, Chemistry, Language Proficiency & Logical Reasoning, and Mathematics.
In addition to B.Tech courses, students can also apply for B.Arch and B.Plan courses. For these courses, students must appear in JEE Main Paper 2A for B.Arch, and Paper 2B for B.Plan. For the B.Arch course, the syllabus includes Mathematics, Drawing, and General Aptitude. However, for B.Plan, students must prepare for Mathematics, Planning, and General Aptitude subjects. Students applying for B.Pharma based on BITSAT must have Biology as a compulsory subject.
