Laws of Motion is a chapter in Class 11 Physics. In this PDF it also covers friction, the dynamics of circular motion and momentum. Every question carries its exam date and shift. The PDF holds questions only, with options as printed. Worked solutions for the questions are under "View Solution" further down this page.

JEE Main Laws of Motion Weightage by Year

As per JEE Main Laws of Motion weightage from past years, students can expect 1 to 2 questions from this chapter in most shifts. It took 6.23% of the Physics questions in 2022, the highest in this window, and 4.00% in 2026.

YearQuestionsAverage per ShiftWeightage in PhysicsChange in Weightage
2026191.004.00%+58.33%
2025120.632.53%−54.07%

By the difficulty tag in our question bank, 114 questions are medium and 109 are easy. Only 4 are hard, and 20 carry no tag.

How to Practise Laws of Motion

Start with the 92 questions on force, inertia and Newton's laws, then the 5 on conservation of linear momentum and the 25 on momentum and impulse. Those 122 questions build the free-body diagram habit that every later question depends on.

Move on to the 54 friction questions and the 18 on equilibrium of concurrent forces. Finish with the 53 on circular motion and centripetal force, and redo any you missed after a day.
