JEE Main 29 Jan Shift 1 paper analysis has been updated here. According to students, 

  • Chemistry was NCERT based. 
  • The weightage of Organic and Inorganic Chemistry was high while Physical chemistry had a lower weightage in the exam. There were 1-2 MCQs and 5-6 Numerical Type questions from Physical Chemistry.
  • Students also reported a question based on ‘Ore’ from the Metallurgy chapter, which was deleted from JEE Main syllabus 2024 (but is still a part of JEE Advanced). 
  • Physics was based on direct formulas.
  • Mathematics was the most difficult section in JEE Mains today paper. The questions were tricky with very lengthy calculations

JEE Main 2024 is scheduled to be conducted on Jan 24, 27, 29, 30, 31 and Feb 1. JEE Main 2024 Question Paper will be released in 13 languages including English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu. After the conclusion of JEE Main 2024 Session 1, NTA is going to release JEE Main 2024 answer key PDF on the official website jeemain.nta.ac.in. First provisional answer key will be released which will be open for challenges, if any. Once all the objections raised have been scrutinized, NTA is going to release the final JEE Main 2024 Answer Key.

These final answer key will be used to calculate JEE Main Result 2024. JEE Main result 2024 date is February 12, 2024. Candidates aiming for admission to NITs, must score 200+ marks. Candidates aiming for admission to IITs, must score 90%ile and above to be eligible to sit for JEE Advanced.

NTA is also going to begin JEE Main registration 2024 session 2 from February 2, 2024. Those who are interested to appear for JEE Main 2024 April session can register online from February 2 to March 2. JEE Main April session is scheduled from April 1 to April 15.
