The faculties teaching here are all smart people who are foremost in their areas of research and teach with great inspiration.
The campus provides placements and internship opportunities for us, which helps a lot for us in building our career.
My experience with campus life at iit gandhinagar has been characterized by vibrant social interactions, active club involvement, and excellent infrastructure.

Dislikes

I don't like that there are only two mess which causes us delay
PLACEMENT over here is also not that great as cse branch had been introduced over here in the recent years
Some lectures such as World Civilization and Cultures are very boring.

My education experience at IIT gandhinagar

Likes

The quality of education and experience you gain from your professors is amazing.
The sports activities and other cultural fests are very enthusiastic.
The placement record is also very nice and improving every year.

Dislikes

The workload or course curriculam is slightly higher in core fields.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is well designed. It consists of weekly/monthly assignments and lab practicals to help you understand the things effectively. There are several teaching assistants (seniors) assigned by professors to help you out as the difficulty level of assignments can be higher in some courses.

Hostels with AC and in the 1st and second year thare are 3 shearing room but in second year we can choose our roommates
Mess food is. Also very good but south indian may faced issues with that becouse there are not dedicated South Indian food just 1 to 2 times in a week
There are a facility that girls and boys go to there' room any time they want😅

Dislikes

In academic college needs to improve strictness
Very long vacation 3months summer and 1 month winter
They don't care about Hindi medium background student

Placement Experience:

My college is iit so obvious there are college placement and many opportunities as lower branchs not had good placement but there are ho to higher education in good foreign college. Persent of getting placement this year is around 50 persent. Highest package is around 75lacs and avarage is around 15lacs I'm join job after graduation but my sim to become IAS officer

The all-rounder life at IIT Gandhinagar

Likes

The sports complex of the campus is brilliant and the facilities the college provides are excellent.
The academic courses are very flexible and you can easily choose your graduation path.
The college also promotes cultural activities through alot of clubs and programs and you can improve your artistic talent by taking part in them.

Dislikes

The student clubs don’t get much funding in the long run and people don’t participate as much.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Instead of preparing students for their first work, the curriculum of IITGN lays emphasis on the general growth of the student as he/she progresses through his/her career. Apart from courses related to science and maths includes various courses of social science and humanities, and also course of biology which helps in the overall development of the student.

Campus is too good and big. We have enough options for relaxation.
Mess is too much good. It provides us nice food and different vegetation

Dislikes

I don't like the position of campus as it is too away from city area
I don't like that there are only two mess which causes us delay

Likes

Beautiful infrastructure including hostels, academic area or sport complex. Everything well maintained, organized.
Liberal campus. People allowed to enter opposite gender's hostels freely
Mess food is also pretty good includes veg, nonveg as well as jain counter.

Dislikes

Difficult to get student funds for cultural fests and activities
Location of campus is quite off and far from city

Placement Experience:

students get placement opportunities starting from the fourth year. The average placement of the college is also quite good considering all the branches. There is been a placement percentage of more than 80% over the years

Infrastructure is good. Hygiene is taken care of.
Social Interactions are good. Hostel life is cool.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course is not a particular subject specific. It's interdisciplinary in nature. If anybody is interested in pursuing higher education, this is the course. For society and culture, there are not many exams. There are assignments.

Fastastic Experience of IIT GN

Likes

Guidance of Seniors, Environment of college is very friendly and helpful.
College also provide internship opportunities.
Seminars are being conducted time to time and amazing fests also.

Dislikes

Some humanity courses are mandatory which don't seems much helpful.
In first year we to study the courses of all the branches which don't related to our domain.
Weightage of core courses is low. It should be high than others.

Placement Experience:

In seventh semester students start participating in placements. Companies like Amazon, Byju's visit our college campus. Highest pacage is around 65 lac/anm and avg is around 18 lac/anm, 60% of students are palaced. My plan is also getting a palacement.

Review of my BTech at IIT Gandhinagar

Likes

Campus development: Being a relatively new IIT, the institute, inspired by CalTech's infrastructure, has been built beautifully and maintains very good standard
Hostels: The rooms are bigger than older IITs and also cleanliness is maintained. AC facilities are available for summers
Being a small batch size, the interaction between professor and students is better

Dislikes

Placement opportunities are limited because of small batch size however they are quite enough.
Lack of strong technological culture amongst students
Transport facilities from campus to nearest city area is extremely limited

Placement Experience:

After completing degree at our institute, two widely chosen paths are either further studies or placements. The placements if well prepared from 3rd yr or get an intern in 3rd by prepping in 2nd year are quite achievable and not at all hard.

IIT Gandhinagar, one of the best second generation IITs in India.

Likes

Works on policy of Students first. Treats students as independent adult, capable and responsible for their own decisions.
One of the top 5 institutes in india for research. Great professors with great connections.
Focused on overall student development, great hostels, mess food, sports complex and other facilities.

Dislikes

Too much focus on courses and academic load is too high which sometimes is too much for students to get into other things.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for internships from the beginning of third year (5th semester), although there are a handful of companies who are also open for the second year students. The internship process is rigid and a long race. Most companies give PPOs to the interning students. Students become eligible for placements from the beginning of their fourth year (7th semester). The best companies come early on and then the average companies keep coming throughout the year. These average companies still offer 10+ LPA offers. This year 70% of the students got placed. Others went on for higher studies abroad and some went for MBA, Government Jobs, etc. Highest package this year was 63 LPA.

IITGN - A quick review

Likes

Liberty provided to students. One can roam where ever they want in the campus
Reasonably big campus with brand new facilities
Academic blocks and hostel area are placed nearby to enable easy commute

Dislikes

Hectitc schedule that almost all students have throught their program duration

Placement Experience:

Placements are pretty good. Last year's placement percentage was almost 95 for all the branches. Considering that IITs are technological institutes placements for non technical programs aren't that good, but considering the rate of the growth they will get better soon
