The faculties teaching here are all smart people who are foremost in their areas of research and teach with great inspiration.
The campus provides placements and internship opportunities for us, which helps a lot for us in building our career.
My experience with campus life at iit gandhinagar has been characterized by vibrant social interactions, active club involvement, and excellent infrastructure.

Dislikes

I don't like that there are only two mess which causes us delay
PLACEMENT over here is also not that great as cse branch had been introduced over here in the recent years
Some lectures such as World Civilization and Cultures are very boring.

Supremacy of IITGN

Likes

I like campus cleanliness and environment.
I like infrastructure of the college buliding
I like IITGN students first policy in which students are given priority in decision making

Dislikes

There are no proper food outlets for diverse people
No proper parties of students in sports .
There is no proper transportation to campus.

Placement Experience:

The major companies visited our campus are Barclays, Texas instruments, Zomato,etc. Students who are in seventh semester are eligible for campus placements. Highest package is seventh six lakhs offered by Texas instruments. 98% of students are placed. I will prepare for UPSC after getting degree.

A brief review on IITGN covering all the aspects of the college

Likes

There are no restrictions to the hostel timings.
Boys can go to girls hostel and girls can come to boys hostel with out any restrictions
Sports facilities here are very good. They are top quality

Dislikes

The temperature here in summer is very hot.

Placement Experience:

The placements are quite good in our campus. Students are eligible for internships from 3rd year and for placements from 4th year. The highest package this year is 76 lpa and aroung 6 students were offered this package. Almost 95% of the students gets placed in campus placements.

My Small Journey

Likes

I liked the campus life very much. It is like a real home for the next 4 years for me
I liked the faculty members and the course curriculum
Also the infrastructure was modern and well maintained. I like the Central Arcade very much

Dislikes

There are no shops or malls near by the campus
There are very much low fundings for events
HSS courses are too many which every student don't like very much

Placement Experience:

In our campus the PDC secreteray will offer us the placement opportunities. From 5th semester students become elgible for campus placemments. Also, students should maintain a decent CPI for his/her placements. The highest package so far is 52 lack

Life in the campus

Likes

Students have no restrictions until it comes to the disciplinary actions.
Top class faculities in labs and also the sports complex
Here students are treated as adults .

Dislikes

Landmark as there are no malls near the campus.
Funds alloted to events are quite less but hoping for increment in the future.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum has been very good since the past few years. Study materials and data became easily accessible, making it easier for everyone to get the sources. Also they are very much organized and once you are strong in basics , you can start scoring pretty good marks.

NEW CHAPTER OF LIFE - IITGN

Likes

variety of sports activities, my personal favorite is frisbee.
the facility of co-ed hostels in the college.
the seasonal availability of fruits and the local food of Gujarat available in the canteen and the mess.

Dislikes

the amount of courses to done in one semester (compulsory courses)
The first come first serve rule of alloting mess and sports for the entire semester
the mess food is sometimes not made properly and tastes bad.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course currciculum changes each semester based on the real world applications and practicalities of today's world. The best thing about IITGN is that the courses are not only designed by professsors but also based on the feedbacks of the students. The currciculum also prepares us for hand to hand real world problems and also prepares us to pursue other academic activities such as MTech or PhD. Since the curriculum is changing each semester the improvements are itself handled and the teaching methods of the professors and GTFs are also very good. The classes starts early at around 8 am and goes tilll 1pm and then from 2pm to 6pm and for the first 4 semesters a 45min physical activity session is also arranged to maintain the activeness of the students.

IIT GN The Greenest Campus

Likes

campus life , every activites takes place on scheduled time , campus is clean and green campus
professors are very supportive , always intrested to talk with students
basic needs of stuednts are provided in campus like shops , hospital , hair cutting saloons , bank , post office , laundry shops etc

Dislikes

campus is situated in slightly in rural side of gandhinagar , which sometimes become difficulty for students if they have need of other items or etc.

Placement Experience:

IIT GN has delivered the situationreport for the year 2023 , and has finished Btech arrangments for the clump dropping on 2023 . The general typical bundle proposed to BTech understudies during position 2023 remained at INR 19LPA and for MSc INR 11LPA . Accenture , Amazon, Amul, Cognizant, Physicswallah , Chem academy, deloitte , Adobe , asian paints , tcs ion etc recruters participated in the process. In Msc chemistry out of 35 stuedents 12 selected for placements rest selected for Phd in foreign countries and some went for job through Gate. Overall placements process are easy if one have cpi abobe 8 and have good commuinication skills .

Excellence of Gandhinagar IIT

Likes

The food and the management of our hostels and the main purpose I have liked is the nature which is so good and so well of being here
And I have liked more the study which has been allotted in a week out to remember mini study places and merry Christmas which can be reserved and can be taken slot for sometime and can be land there with very peacefully and having a projector
Different from studies I like the most of sports there every sports like swimming and basketball football in writing

Dislikes

I disliked was the food the main soaking of eating chapati also been required of spicy food more and some special dishes everyday and the main thing in food only for non veg except of others everything is free except non veg
The most disliked by me please assignments having many more and many I am not having time to do them but it's okay
From here is the P it's not everyone everyday but this should be some physical education which might be required for the person himself she not done it

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rat it 9 out of 10 the way of approaching students and the curriculum is so good which is somewhat and more much relevant in every IIT and but not similar to otherwise the way of learning is the only way only way there is to learn is the student should be concentrated and he should gain the knowledge by his own talent not by expecting the teachers to save everything

Campus lifestyle, the approach to problem solving, etc

Dislikes

The curriculum aspects where the majority of students get low marks but is ignored by professors

Placement Experience:

Most of the students who apply for placements in the CSE or EE get placed easily, other disciplines have to work hord for the placement. Many students are placed in non-core jobs that creates competition amongst students. Overall the placements facility needs to be improved.

My life at IIT Gandhinagar

Likes

The campus life here is very open and safe
The policies designed are strictly but at the same time student friendly.
The campus is very beautiful and peaceful. It has all the facilities a student could have.

Dislikes

No coding culture here, there are very few clubs which promotes it
Other cultural activities like dance, drama etc are there but under supported
The campus is in the outskirts so makes it very difficult to travel to the city.

Placement Experience:

There's a cell decided to placements and it is very good. Opportunities in research as well as industrial fields is great. Almost every good gets a very good internship before graduation. I'm planning to do an industrial intern

Events occuring in Hostel Area leads to lot of noise
Mess food is sometimes unlikely and have to eat outside.
College is far away from city of Gandhinagar

Placement Experience:

Placements of college are good. 4th year onwards students are eligible for student placements. Some good companies coming here for placements are Texas, Yes Bank, and TCS. The highest Package is 70,00,000 approximately and the average package is 15,00,000 nearly. Nearly all the students sitting for the placement round get placed. My plans after getting the degree is higher studies in some foreign institute.

IIT Gandhinagar has a great CSE department. The professors are among the best in India. Almost 50% of the faculty members are from the industry. So, you will get hands-on learning experience and in-depth knowledge about the current trends in the industry.

IITGN has a high-performing computer lab and two departmental labs with a capacity of 100 computers each. The research interface of the department is something the institute boasts about. Professors actively take part in cutting-edge research projects.

Companies such as IOCL, Goldman Sachs, ISRO, ITC, etc. recruit CSE students through IIT Gandhinagar placements. The average CTC for the branch is around INR 18 LPA.

IIT Gandhinagar is a premier engineering institute even after that it has tried to contribute its fullest efficiency to the department of arts & humanities. The MA Program in Society and culture is one such example of it. The major highlights of the course are mentioned below:

It is an interdisciplinary and flexible course. It provides great insight into the cultural codes in the context of nations & societies.
You will develop a good skill base for doctoral studies, policy work, consultancy and it opens up a wide range of careers.
Students are given the freedom to touch subjects like Political Science, Communication, Neuroscience, and Psychology.
The course is provided as a blend so that a reasonable amount of freedom to follow their choice.

The three constituents of course are :
