My experience with campus life at iit gandhinagar has been characterized by vibrant social interactions, active club involvement, and excellent infrastructure.

Dislikes

I don't like that there are only two mess which causes us delay
PLACEMENT over here is also not that great as cse branch had been introduced over here in the recent years
Some lectures such as World Civilization and Cultures are very boring.

Students belonging to the M.A course have very less placement opportunities here. Most of them go for teaching jobs in further colleges and universities. In general, the highest CTC last year went to Rs. 40 LPA. Participating recruiters were Syntel, Valuefy, Birlasoft, GlobalLogic, Lava, Zia Semiconductor, Adverb, Cipla, Tata Motors, Compro, Anglo Eastern, FreeScale, TCS, Shapoorji Palonji, Henkel, NewGen .

Campus placements occur every other and the batches which were available appeared in the placement. Many organisations, such as Enphase, Google, JSW, ITC, and others, come to campus for seminars and postings. Professors from worldwide institutes such as , University of Washington, and others visit our campus to provide research internships to us where starting of the salary was 15 LPA.

IIT Gandhinagar: A College Was Worthful

Admission:

the admission for the MA program at IIT Gandhinagar is based on the entrance exam and interview. I was invited for the written test and interview based on the academic records. I had given entrance first and called for the interview. During the interview, I was asked just the basic questions related to my bachelor's and the knowledge about that according to practical life.

Glimpse of IIT Gandhinagar

Placement Experience:

300+ students were placed in the placement week that year. An 18% increase in the CTC was observed from the last year. Highest CTC was Rs. 40 LPA. I also got more than two job offers in this placement week. Companies that visited the campus were India Bulls, Tech Mahindra, ICICI Bank, Aurigon, Syntel, Valuefy, Birlasoft, GlobalLogic, Lava, Zia Semiconductor, Adverb, Cipla, Tata Motors, Compro, Anglo Eastern, FreeScale.

My first choice was IIT Gandhi Nagar, which has excellent placement opportunities. Every year, the college has a 100% placement rate, with the highest pay offer being approximately 50 LPA and the annual salary offer being around 18 LPA, resulting in a really higher return on investment. Because the college's educational standards are so high, just a few of my classmates earned pre-placement proposals during the university internship programme. Consulting, education, engineering & technology, finance, FMCG, hospitality, IT/software, NGO, pharmaceutical, Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), Research and Development (R&D), and other organisations come to our campus for the placement drive.

Placement Experience:

We should not doubt the placement offers of IITs as IITS are one of the top institutes of India in terms of producing the best engineers mind and helping them to have good packages. The college placement committee plays a very important role in the college placement rounds. As all the responsibility for conduction of placement is on the shoulders of the placement committee. The committee is always successful in attracting good companies and they guide us throughout the college placement rounds. The highest package for our batch was approx 34 LPA and the average salary package was around 11 LPA.

IIT Gandhinagar has a great CSE department. The professors are among the best in India. Almost 50% of the faculty members are from the industry. So, you will get hands-on learning experience and in-depth knowledge about the current trends in the industry.

IITGN has a high-performing computer lab and two departmental labs with a capacity of 100 computers each. The research interface of the department is something the institute boasts about. Professors actively take part in cutting-edge research projects.

Companies such as IOCL, Goldman Sachs, ISRO, ITC, etc. recruit CSE students through IIT Gandhinagar placements. The average CTC for the branch is around INR 18 LPA.

IIT Gandhinagar is a premier engineering institute even after that it has tried to contribute its fullest efficiency to the department of arts & humanities. The MA Program in Society and culture is one such example of it. The major highlights of the course are mentioned below:

It is an interdisciplinary and flexible course. It provides great insight into the cultural codes in the context of nations & societies.
You will develop a good skill base for doctoral studies, policy work, consultancy and it opens up a wide range of careers.
Students are given the freedom to touch subjects like Political Science, Communication, Neuroscience, and Psychology.
The course is provided as a blend so that a reasonable amount of freedom to follow their choice.

The three constituents of course are :

Literature & Society- To help understand the creativeness of languages across the society in sync with different caste, class, print, and digital cultures.
History & Politics- This is an aim to understand Indian Politics from a deep end in order to reach its foundation.
Public policy & Human Development- It is a methodological approach to look into development by applying social research.

The course is quite theory intensive and the institute believes in providing continuous assessment through evaluations, discussions, cross-questioning, and guest lectures. The course structure is systematic and hence a positive review is a must for the college.
