Dislikes

I don't like that there are only two mess which causes us delay
PLACEMENT over here is also not that great as cse branch had been introduced over here in the recent years
Some lectures such as World Civilization and Cultures are very boring.

IITs are well-known for their high placement rates, and IIT Gandhinagar is no exception. The placement panel leaves no stone unturned to assist you with your placement, and the college placement record is 100 percent. Google, Microsoft, Amazon, ITC, and Barclays are among the companies that have visited the campus. The highest and lowest wage packages were 35 LPA and 8 LPA, respectively.

IIT Gandhi Nagar Review

Placement Experience:

The college itself is very popular for its placements and the college has a record of 100% placement. The college placement committee plays a crucial role in the placement process. To take part in the college placement we have to register our names with the college placement committee and the committee makes sure that everyone is placed by guiding us through every round of placement. The highest package for our batch was around 35 LPA and the average package was around 10 LPA. Few of my batchmates received pre-placement offers during the internship program.

IIT Gandhinagar Undergraduate review

Placement Experience:

The candidates of IIT-Gandhinagar were majorly hired for roles like application programmer, mobile app developer, web developer, video game programmer, SFX, and post-production and systems analyst. Candidates having previous internship experience were preferred by the companies. Also, candidates involved in live projects and coding boot camps had an edge over freshers. The companies visiting the campus were KPIT(Germany), Goldman Sachs, ITC, IOCL, HPL, and ISRO. The highest package offered was 18LPA while the average package stands at 12LPA. Since IIT Gandhinagar is a new branch, the package offered is a bit lower compared to other IITs. However, it is expected to get higher in the upcoming years.

We all know about the placement of IITs. The IITs provide one of the best placements and IIT Gandhinagar is also not behind. The placement record of the college is 100%. The placement committee is very helpful and supportive. The placement cell guides us throughout our placement process and makes sure that we get placed according to our program and interest. the highest package for our batch was around 34 LPA and the average package was around 10 LPA. Companies like Adobe, Microsoft, Google, Tech Mahindra, ICICI Bank, Siemens, L&T, Essar, Cipla, Tata Motors, etc visited the campus during the placement drive of the college.

IIT Gandhinagar's Review.

Placement Experience:

Students can complete graduation in 3.5 years(minimum). Campus placements happen in the odd semester. A lot of companies visit campuses like Enphase, Google, JSW, ITC, Barclays, etc for internships and placements. I am applying for such opportunities as well. Our college also invites professors from international institutes like CalTech, University of Washington, etc who offer research internship opportunities to students. Students interested in higher studies apply for such opportunities.

Masters Program at IIT Gandhinagar

Remarks:

The multidisciplinary approach of teaching and the freedom of choosing your own curriculum. I didn't find any bad aspects. Admission process consisted of shortlisting from GATE exam scores, written test followed by interview round.

Real Engineering comes from projects

Placement Experience:

From 7 semester students become eligible for campus placements. Very big companies like Amazon , TCS , Google and many more visit IIT Gandhinagar and there are a lot of offers provided by them... Highest package was of approximately 3 crores per annum... Maximum students that is more than 90% students get placement every year. I will also apply for a placement to get a job .

Career and life at IITGN

Remarks:

I choose IIT Gandhinagar because of its diverse academic curriculum. In IIT Gandhinagar their are elective courses of various streams like humanities, business and management, design courses as well. Students get the opportunity to do minor in other various streams along with their major. Also, you can to minor or major with other core engineering streams. This open flexible opportunity of growth is a big factor to get into IIT Gandhinagar.Underwhelming aspect could be sports facilities but since new sports complex is completed recently this will also get sorted.

Yes, there is campus placement in the college. there are so many companies who select students on the basis of written and interview. There is 6 Lakh per annum average package in the college. Students who are in the Final semester can take part in the placement process.

IIT Gandhinagar has a great CSE department. The professors are among the best in India. Almost 50% of the faculty members are from the industry. So, you will get hands-on learning experience and in-depth knowledge about the current trends in the industry.

IITGN has a high-performing computer lab and two departmental labs with a capacity of 100 computers each. The research interface of the department is something the institute boasts about. Professors actively take part in cutting-edge research projects.

Companies such as IOCL, Goldman Sachs, ISRO, ITC, etc. recruit CSE students through IIT Gandhinagar placements. The average CTC for the branch is around INR 18 LPA.

IIT Gandhinagar is a premier engineering institute even after that it has tried to contribute its fullest efficiency to the department of arts & humanities. The MA Program in Society and culture is one such example of it. The major highlights of the course are mentioned below:

It is an interdisciplinary and flexible course. It provides great insight into the cultural codes in the context of nations & societies.
You will develop a good skill base for doctoral studies, policy work, consultancy and it opens up a wide range of careers.
Students are given the freedom to touch subjects like Political Science, Communication, Neuroscience, and Psychology.
The course is provided as a blend so that a reasonable amount of freedom to follow their choice.

The three constituents of course are :

Literature & Society- To help understand the creativeness of languages across the society in sync with different caste, class, print, and digital cultures.
History & Politics- This is an aim to understand Indian Politics from a deep end in order to reach its foundation.
Public policy & Human Development- It is a methodological approach to look into development by applying social research.
