Remarks
I choose IIT Gandhinagar because of its diverse academic curriculum. In IIT Gandhinagar their are elective courses of various streams like humanities, business and management, design courses as well. Students get the opportunity to do minor in other various streams along with their major. Also, you can to minor or major with other core engineering streams. This open flexible opportunity of growth is a big factor to get into IIT Gandhinagar.Underwhelming aspect could be sports facilities but since new sports complex is completed recently this will also get sorted.
Course Curriculum Overview
Faculty to student ratio differs from stream to stream. For computer science it is bad currently as this stream was add little late in the curriculum, but the faculty is so devoted that it would not be a big problem. Many faculties have very interesting teaching methods like through case studies and mini project throughout the semester so students get hands on experience along with the knowledge.
Internships Opportunities
I worked with OYO Rooms during my third year with stipend of 35000 promised but due to covid it was revised to 10000 and turned to work from home mode. and also during my second year I did summer research with a professor with perk of 2000 per week.
Placement Experience
Campus placement is good and their are lot of opportunities for research and entrepreneurship also. Every academic session more hundred companies come and students get place. Campus placement department also guides for outside opportunity time to time.
Fee Structure And Facilities
140000 per semester. But it changes for different categories SC,ST,OBC and PWD get good benefits. Also the are so many different scholarship programs to help students financially. Campus placement is organized average performing students easily get enough opportunities.
Campus Life
Campus life is sublime. AC hostel rooms for accomodation. Mess food is good for mess food. Many cafeteria for eating as well. Gym and since new sports complex swimming pool facilities are also available. Library facilities are very extended so many online essential tool are available through institutes email id. Students get to explore extracurricular activities on campus through various active clubs and interest groups. Various sports options are also open to all according to their interests.
Admission
For admission their are two exam JEE mains and Advance. I prepared during my intermediate school. Their are various JEE preparation institutes both online and offline. Also, mock test series that helps in the preparation.
