Insight of IIT Gandhinagar

The course are generally based on overall development along with engineering courses like sometimes we study courses which aren't important from the point of view of engineering but are important for developing other skills like speaking, writing, and social activities.

There's a good opportunity for internship also. As somebody can get internship in tech areas as well as in his/her core branch. At the end IIT Gandhinagar's placement and intership isn't as good as Tier one IITs but it's far better that any government engineer college and most of the NITs and remaining IITs.

Campus placement starts from 3rd year for btech students. Almost every good company visits IIT Gandhinagar to pick students. Even Google also visits IIT Gandhinagar for placement sell. The average package is about 20-22LPA And highest package is about 1.6Cr per Annum. Percentage of students getting placement is about 70.

Amalthea is tech fest of IIT Gandhinagar it is typically held in November month of every year. There's a first class central library in IIT gandhinagar with a big number of nobles, generals and other books related to cources. The classrooms and fully air conditioned and WiFi, using mobile phone and laptop is allowed in classes but sometimes it depends on the professor.

Hostel facility are first class but from this side year due to increase in number of ug as well as pg students the first year students are living in four sharing which is quite congested. But all other facilities like ACs and WiFi and hygienic toilets and washrooms sometimes overcome these problems.

I applied for almost each Tier 1 IIT and I was getting seat in IIT Roorkee, Guwahati, kharagpur and all other IITs below in NIRF. I chose this college over other colleges because of its new campus and infrastructure and available of outstanding sports facilities. The admission process is quite simple as through josaa you get a seat in IIT Gandhinagar you will get a mail to report in college at particular date and time and there'll be registration process and hostel allotment. The each and every hostel and classrooms have air conditioners and first class infrastructure.

The Faculty to student ratio is also good enough comparing to other IITs. The relationship between students and professors is just friendly but respectful. They are easily approachable as each professor has a fix office and you can reach them after appointment. I liked maximum faculties who taught us in till now or with whom I've been introduced till now. There's no facility till now whom I should dislike. Some course have quizzes, mid semester and end semester exams and some courses have projects and lab exams only. The difficulty level is medium as somebody studying in classes attentively can score good marks in exams.

The college has many hangout spots. There're many food spots in different areas of college like 2D in academic area and tea post, Mahaveer and Dawat foods in hostel areas and other food spots like just chill and a famous spot "Tapri" outside campus.
