IIIT Surat is currently operating from its temporary campus at Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT). SVNIT will mentor the institute for the first two to three years while the new campus is being built. The new academic building was constructed on land that the Gujarati government allotted near Kamrej in the Surat region.

Ques. Is IIIT Surat Good?
Ans. IIIT Surat is one of the newly emerging IIITs that is now coming to par with the other IIITs around India. The institute offers B.Tech programs in ECE and CSE. IIIT Surat is now ready to relocate to its new campus where students will be provided with various provisions and state-of-the-art lab/classroom equipment. The institute currently takes in 132 students in its B.Tech program and has a faculty of professors, associate professors, and assistant professors who are all highly qualified and experienced in their disciplines. IIIT Surat also offers various scholarships to deserving students.
Ques. How to apply for admission at IIIT Surat?
Ans. Candidates seeking admission to IIIT Surat must have appeared for JEE Mains/Advanced. Eligible students can then register for seat allocation in the NIT+ system. After this, a candidate must list down the choices of Institutes and branches in decreasing order of their preference. This will be followed by the locking of choices, which is highly recommended. Upon completion of this process, there will be 7 rounds of seat allocation conducted by JoSAA in which the seats will be granted to the eligible candidates. The accepted students will then have to pay a seat acceptance fee (through SBI e-Challan/SBI NetBanking/SBI debit cards) and get their documents verified.

- The Seniors of the college organizes College Fest regularly and don't even charge any extra fees like other college.The Director is very helpful and listent to the problem of students, he even provided Costly equipments to students for reasearch.
- Most of the faculty's don't have any ego issues and are friendly like family members.They even provide IMP's before Examinations.The Labs are fully maintained have got decent amount of equipments.If a instrument gets damaged it gets replaced few days

- The Girls to Boys ratio is 2:9. even in branches like Computer Science.
- The College Don't own any personal Hostel So we have to Travel for around 30mins to reach from hostel to college and vice versa.

I applied for IIT's ,NIT's but wont be able toget admission in those due to low marks.Here you have to get admission Through Jossa Councelling and CSAB Councelling so it ends the possibility of addmissions through donation money.You have to passed the Jee mains Examinations with approximate of 97 percentalie if you are from Genral category 95 for OBC category and 80 for SC/ST Category.

it is in surat city and near to hometown . its new curriculum advance facilities best faculties and their experiences and increasing placements year by year in college increased avg package placement percentage.

- I have the liked curriculum because we don't need to study useless subjects related to mechanical/chemical engineering cause there are only 2 branches.
- The teaching is good, there are professors who have indepth knowledge in subject and offcourse there exist some professors who doesn't have any knowledge.
Dislikes
- There is no own hostel for our college which makes us travel through bus which is provided by college with an annual fee of 10k.
- Lack of own hostel and far from college many students stay in flat near the college which makes juniors less interacted with seniors.

I want to study in western part of india i.e. gujarat or maharashtra. So I've encountered all best colleges in these two states, offcourse iitb will be number 1 but i have just cleared advanced and not even scored good marks in it and in mains i got 40k rank so i couldn't get into circuital branch in nit nagpur and nit surat, so i have decided iiit nagpur , iiit surat and iiit pune. Unfortunately i couldn't get into iiit pune due to high cutoff and got seat in iiit surat in csab 2024. These college only accept jee mains score and no exams will be accepted for b.tech admissions, General cutoff of my college for cse is 35k and for ece is 47k in jee mains.

- College administration also supports in co curricular activities like they do provide fundings for our cultural clubs

- Infrastructure is not present, so some students feel bad for their campus life.
- Hostels are also not built yet. the current hostel are of some third party

I had applied for many INI colleges available in j o s s a counselling but my priority was ECE branch. By considered my rank of JEE I got allotted with this college. I was getting some low branches in some good Nits but was not interested in them.
Dislikes
- The location of college is very bad like no transportation service within 1.5km
- There are very few facilities available like library have only 16 seats.
Admission:
As this college is goverment funded an included in Institute of National Importance Which outstan this in compare to other private colleges also we gat many opportunities and support from government schemes here.
Likes
- IIIT Surat is far from the main city and therefore we don't have to deal with much of a traffic.
- Since there are only two branches, the total strength of the college is just 650 and therefore it isn't crowded like IITs or other engineering colleges for that matter.
Dislikes
- Since it's too far from main city, getting autos at night becomes impossible and therefore we can't catch night trains to go home.
Admission:
JEE scores are the basis of admissions and obviously initial choice was IITs but IIITs are also no less. Especially the Surat one as our college is totally commited in developing skills in us. Admission are defined as per our score and then the choices we have marked. So yes initially I was a bit sad but I am happy with how IIIT Surat operates.

You have to qualify JEE mains or advance examination to take admission in this college. Cut off for general candidate is around 88 percentile and OBC cut off is around 72 percentile and for SC ST there is like 50 to 55 percentile. There is reservation for OBC General EWS and SC ST candidates. JEE mains held in January and April and after that you have to give JEE advanced which occurred around September. No suggestion for improvement from my side

Eligibility is Jee mains Nta(National Testing Agency) is another eligibility test Out of 90 seats of cse branch 30 of the general category, 60 are reservation seats There is a little bit much difficulty because of the faster syllabus going on We have to prepare earlier to score good marks as cgpa is important

It was similar to any JOSSA college that takes admission via JOSSA. Opening rank for computer science and engineering was 19 thousand and closing at 40 thousand. For CCE it closed at 70 thousand. You needed to report after counseling and confirm your admission

Eligibility - should have cleared JEE exam with a good percentile around 95 in general category.After the exam councelling is held through which you can get selected.mid sem and end sem exam are held per semester.i haven't availed reservation so don't know about that but some students have got it .Good luck

B.tech CSE course is better in IIIT Vadodara as ROI is better as the fee structure is around INR 9.4 lacs for 4 years with anaverage package of INR 15 lpa and placement percentage of 97% as compared to fee structure of INR 6.64 lacs for 4 years while the average package of INR 12.52 lpa and 67% of the students get placed.
