GEC Gandhinagar is an autonomous college set up by the government, students tend to get scholarships through government schemes. The details of the scholarships are as follows:

Students belonging to SC/STs, lower-income groups, and the disabled category tend to get more scholarships than others for their upliftment and encouragement.
Gujarat government provides a yearly scholarship to students who secure more than 70% percent in the Intermediate exam from the Gujarat board.
Non-hostellers or day scholars receive approximately INR 5500, and hostellers receive up to a total of INR 12,000 in 4 years.

Likes

Have a good parking space for students and visitors and easy to find.
Good infrastructure, every other building for every different departments.
Faculties are also very good, friendly,and make learning easy.

Dislikes

It is located far from gandhinagar city which makes it uncomfortable for students to reach.
Lack of resources around the college due to which students don't find friendly environment there.
Canteen should be better if worked on it so students can enjoy while seating there.

Fees structure of the course

The admission fee is 1500/- ,after that term fees are different for respective terms, Admission fees are only for boys and it's free for girls of all categories and caste. There is also different types of scholarship for students belonging to Sc/ST/OBC categories. There is also change in term fees for every odd terms.There is also exam fees which is for every semester wise exams and there's also penalty if you fill it late ,if you got backlog then there is also some fees regarding to it you have to pay to give another attempt of respective exam and clear your backlog.

What are the internship opportunities in the campus?

There are many certain internship opportunities available in our college offered by different companies for the students so that they get experienced and know how to work for a job and also got a placement after the internship. Different projects are regarding every departments in the college and there are favourable outcomes to it.

Academic structure and curriculum in the campus

It's quite unsatisfingas the semester management here is not done accurately and due to that students gets a lot of pressure for preparing for the exam.Even the course given to the semester is not completed due to the curriculum.The timing of exams are good.

What are the placement opportunities in the college?

The students here start their internship program from there 7th Sem and are eligible for campus placement in 8tu sem.There are certain companies who make their visit here every year and give placement to students.The highest and average package varies for every single year and it's for different departments every year.

Various events, clubs and library of the college

The campus life is not so good. There are no annual or technical events.There is only one festival navratri which is celebrated for only one day.Library is also good there js given reading soace for students and also good book accessibility. There are no sport and extracurricular activities offered in campus.There are some clubs running in the college and every different club makes different impact in students life who join the clubs in there college years.

Faculty and examination pattern of the college

Every different batch has different facilities allocated so it's easy for students and facilities too.Most of the faculties here are very friendly and gives us a good support.the faculty to students ratio is 1:20 for lab activities while for class lecture it's 1:70.The mid exam conducted here is from college side and another exam is the ESE which is from the GTU.The submission work and viva for first 2 years are carried out by college faculties itself while during the external viva of the students other facilities from different colleges come for it.

What is the admission process of the campus?

I find my favourite course in this college so i decided to stay here for my favourite course.I got a confirmed admission form from one college but it was for EC(Electronics and Communication) department but as i was not interested in that ,I was only interested in Computer Engineering course so i fill for another round and i get this course here.The whole admission process of my college is online for every department.

Night Life

There are no good night life in our college as the area in which our college is located is fully village types which makes it uncomfortable for students to life and enjoy it.There are no gym, public area and libraries located near the college all of them are quite far.Hostel facility is given inside the college.Therebare no hangout places for the students near the colleges they need to go some far for hangout places.The locality is safe to room around the night as there are security guards always on there duty.

The branch I choose for is instrumentation and control engineering which is one of the growing branch in India. In gujarat there are only 7 colleges which provide this course, GEC Gandhinagar was one of them and their placement cell is also really impressive

Overall campus placement of the college is best I think. Surrounded by greenery all around the college. Away from pollution.

Dislikes

The one thing I seriously dislike about it is the conditions of the washrooms. Some of them are not even usable.

Admission:

I chose this college because it was nearby to my home and only it offered Metallurgy Engineering among all the colleges I visited for admission. The admission process is quite simple for this; you just have to log in through ACPC and upload all your documents, select the colleges you need, and it gets confirmed after confirming all the uploaded documents, and you receive an email regarding it.

Admission:

Because I belong to the middle family so I don't want my father to worry about my college fees and work hard. So I choose this college as it's cheaper and government college. I applied through acpc on my merit rank. You should get atleast 5000 to 10000 rank.

Likes

The Infrastructure is quite modern and the campus is big.
The Senior Students are helpful here too. Our college also arranges an Alumni meet once in year.

Dislikes

The restrooms are not clean enough and there is no water sometimes.

Admission:

I chose this college because it was a government college and I was eligible to take admission due to my merit. It ranks among one of the top 10 governtment colleges of the state. The other college I wanted to enroll into was Vishwakarma Government Engineering College, but my merit was low.

Likes

I like the teachers, their supports, the aminities of the college, etc.
Third thing is the infrastructure of a college

Dislikes

I dislike a college garden, however not all, but it is very bad because some dogs toilets there. But others are very clean because there is no permission for dogs.

Admission:

first, in my area there are only three government colleges . i applied these three colleges, but as per my rank , i have choosen for government engineering college which is very beautiful. However, as per the other college the facilities are good not best.

i like peaceful environment of my college. that constrare me inn study . government college campus is also big that helpful to sports.
college have all type of lab and workshop so we teach all theory and practical technology ,and also have some new and new event releterd to currier threw seminars.

our college has auditorium so we can not do big events and seminar at colleges.
oue class size is more than 100 so our collage have not big class so that we can not adjust class,that difficult.

first ,my rank acpc is 3156 so that i have list of cllege by category of educations .and my finance sitution is not better so i decided to take admission in govrnment college .and i list all type of gov college .i star my curriet on computer engineering so i have selected to admission ln IT(information technology) as per my acpc rank i get admission gec gandhinagar as my college list .i take my admission in vgec chandkheda but i can not achived that . i appled for admission all type of government college threw ACPC.admission process simle and not cheat with student curriers. admission dependes as per 12th mark and JEE exams.

Likes

The thing that I liked the most is that the value for money is decent, the fees paid is really less compared to private colleges and the education is equivalent, which is the best part about studying in a government college.
The campus is really beautiful as it is surrounded by a lot of greenery. The air is really fresh and you can often spot peacocks on campus. There are places to sit in the mini-garden that is made in the heart of the campus.

Dislikes

I don't like the sanitation facility as it seriously feels like some public toilet and not a college toilet, and the water cooler never works.

Admission:

The admission process was easy, I got admitted through GUJCET exam and I got admission in the 4th round in BE in CE. I got around 97.7 percentile in GUJCET but as I was from CBSE board and they consider 50% of boards results in terms of percentile, my rank got affected because of it. I applied to colleges like LD and VGEC too, but their cutoffs were very high for CE branch, so I got admitted to GEC-G which was the next best government college at that time.

HOW TO TAKE ADMISSION IN GOVERMNET COLLEGE.

GEC Gandhinagar Admissions are based on merit in the national or state level examinations. Candidates can check the admission criteria for different courses mentioned below:

BE Admission: Candidates must have qualified 10+2 (PCM) with at least 45% marks and must appear for JEE Main or GUJCET for admission to GEC Gandhinagar BE program.
ME Admission: Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks along with GATE or Gujarat PGCET score for admission to ME Program.

GEC Gandhinagar Admission process is conducted online. Candidates need to apply for their preferred course through the institute’s official website.
