IIT Gandhinagar MTech Admission 2026 Open Till March 25; Apply Now

Indian Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar, has officially announced that it begun inviting M.Tech Phase 2 applications for the academic year 2026, till March 25, 2026. Admission to its full-time M.Tech programme for the July 2026 academic session. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through the official institute website, iitgn.ac.in, with the application window remaining open till the deadline.

IIT Gandhinagar offers M.Tech across specialziations includes Artificial Intelligence, Biological Sciences and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Earth System Sciences, Electrical Engineering, Integrated Circuit Design and Technology, Materials Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering.

IIT Gandhinagar MTech Eligibility & Selection Criteria

Admissions to the MTech program at IIT Gandhinagar require candidates to have a valid GATE score for a boost in stipend. Final year B.Tech or equivalent undergraduate degree in Engineering students from NITs with a CPI or CGPA of not less than 8.0 at the end of their 3rd year for candidates from General, EWS, OBC categories, or CPI/ CGPA of not less than 7.5 at the end of their 3rd year for candidates from SC, ST, and PwD categories.

Students from the final year B.Tech or equivalent undergraduate degree in Engineering from IITs, with a CGPA or CPI of not less than 6.0 at the end of their third year, can also apply, followed by an interview and a written test.

Fellowship of INR 15,400 per month for a candidate with a valid GATE score. Travel support to the extent of INR 60,000 for attending the international conferences.
