IIT Gandhinagar MTech/MA Admission 2026 Begins; Apply Now @iitgn.ac.in

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Gandhinagar has invited applications for its MTech and MA programs for the 2026-2027 academic session. Interested and eligible candidates are encouraged to apply through the institute’s official admission portal by the respective April 2026 deadlines.

The selection process involves a valid GATE score, followed by a written test and/or interview. Notably, BTech graduates from IITs with a CGPA of 8.0 or above are eligible for direct admission to MTech without a GATE score.

Based on the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Gandhinagar official guidelines, the Early Admit MTech programme is designed for final-year BTech students from NITs and select colleges who have excellent academic records. Selected candidates with a valid GATE score receive a monthly scholarship of ₹12,400 + ₹3,000 (Director’s Fellowship). Those without a GATE score receive ₹6,000 per month. NIT Students: Minimum 8.0 CPI (7.5 for SC/ST/PwD) at the end of the 3rd year. IIT Students: Minimum 6.0 CPI at the end of the 3rd year. Select Colleges: Top 5 rank holders (Top 10 for SC/ST/PwD) in their department.

Candidates may receive travel support of up to ₹60,000 for international conferences and the opportunity to complete their 8th semester at IITGN.
