Uttarakhand NEET UG 2026 Round 2 Reporting Extended to Sept 19

The Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Uttarakhand Medical Education University (HNBUMU) has extended the Uttarakhand NEET UG 2026 Round 2 reporting deadline to September 19, 2026. The revised schedule was issued through an official notice on the counselling portal at hnbumu.ac.in. Round 2 allottees for MBBS and BDS seats now get one extra day to complete formalities.

Candidates who chose the Freeze option must finish online document verification with their allotted college. They must also pay the advance tuition fee within the new window. The earlier cut-off was September 18, 2026, and the extension was granted after multiple candidate requests. Seats will stand cancelled if either step is missed by the revised date.

Freeze and Float Choice Rules

Freeze means the candidate accepts the allotted seat and exits further rounds. Float means the candidate holds the current seat but stays in the running for an upgrade. Only Freeze candidates must complete document verification during this reporting window.

Float candidates do not need physical verification at this stage. If they upgrade in a later round, they must resubmit documents at the new college. Candidates who fail to select Freeze or Float will lose their allotted seat.

Advance Tuition Fee by College Type

Category of Institution Advance Fee (Rs)
Government medical colleges (without bond) 1,45,000
VCSG GIMS and Soban Singh Jeena GIMS (with bond) 50,000
Private medical colleges 10,00,000
Private dental colleges 2,00,000

The advance fee can be paid via net banking, debit card, credit card, or an online-generated bank transfer challan. Payment must reflect on the portal before the deadline lapses.

How to Complete Round 2 Reporting on hnbumu.ac.in?

The reporting process runs entirely online through the allotted college. Candidates do not need to travel to the campus at this stage.

  1. Log in to the counselling portal using your NEET UG roll number and password.
  2. Download the Round 2 provisional seat allotment letter.
  3. Choose Freeze or Float against your allotted seat.
  4. Upload scanned copies of required documents for online verification.
  5. Pay the applicable advance tuition fee through the payment gateway.
  6. Save the fee receipt and verification acknowledgement for records.

Documents Required for Online Verification

Candidates must keep clear scanned copies ready before starting the verification step. Missing or unclear documents can lead to rejection.

  • NEET UG 2026 admit card and scorecard
  • Class 10 and Class 12 marksheets and certificates
  • Uttarakhand domicile certificate (for state quota seats)
  • Category certificate, if applicable
  • Government-issued photo ID proof
  • Round 2 provisional allotment letter
Why This Extension Matters

HNBUMU rarely extends counselling deadlines mid-round. The one-day push gives Freeze candidates extra time to arrange the advance fee. It also helps students facing bank or portal delays avoid seat loss.

  2. Decide between Freeze and Float based on your rank and preferred college.
  3. Arrange the advance tuition fee amount as per your college category.

  5. Complete fee payment and save both the receipt and verification proof.
  6. Contact the counselling helpline on 8006516772 for any portal issue.
