Out of 10, I will rate 7 because 1st year courses apart from maths and physics are of no use in engineering when doing workshops like the August course starts. In September quiz and mid sem in oct started. latest syllabus needed to be built

I have cleared the Jee mains exam with the 95 percentile and got this college in csab counseling although I don't like the branch I have got bcoz it is considered to be toughest branch in Engineering. The frequency of Jee exam is once in year with 2 attempts of jee mains

The course here is Cbcs(which refers to choice based curriculum system) and this was the main reason why I opted for this institute. In this it is at par with the IIT's and NIT's.In cbcs you can choose what you want to learn and the university also provides you an option to do minor in one of the subjects. Sometimes you might feel that teaching method is very old and it need to be changed and student professor interaction should be increased. There will be 2 quizzes,1 mid sem and final sem at an interval of one month.

The reason I have selected this course is my interest towards the field of growing Electrical need in the world, the grow Ev vehcile research. However in the first year of the Engineering the course cirriculum is same for all the enginneering branches. They teach us the Basic of Mechanical, Electrical, electronics engineering branches and then subjects like maths, physics, chemistry, biology and environmental science and then the labs. The syllabus is quite out dated and quite a bit overlaps with the +2 Science.

The college has excellent faculty members that assist students whenever possible and collaborate in all conditions. I don't believe there is any area that need development because it is improving on a daily basis, whether in terms of placement or curriculum. Exam frequency should be lowered to relieve burden on students.

So ,basically I am now in second semester and in first year all the colleges the subjects are same but I feel that the teaching pattern is old style and it is more of theory type and less of practical type.i feel that it is like you study certain chapters of different subjects and write it in paper with no application to real world but the teachers need to improve their way of teaching

The course curriculum is overall good and each course consists of 5 modules each. Every module gives us a very deep understanding of every course from each department. At every course outcomes we really find them helpful.

I chose EEC since I wanted to get into circuital branches and wanted to pursue a career in them. Faculties in circuital branches are mostly good and well experienced their teaching experience is also good. we have electric engines and power engines which are designed for the needs of this tech. in market and development areas. The electrical and electronics branch here is really cool with lots of academic stuff within it.

The placements for EEE at BIT Mesra differ according to the year. However, they are not as good as they were a decade ago. Since the advent of GATE for the recruitment process of PSUs, they have stopped recruiting students from the campus.
A wide range of companies allows BIT Mesra EEE students to sit for the placement process-
Unless you are passionate about coding, as a EEE student, it is unlikely for you to be good at it, that is too good enough to beat a CSE/IT candidate. Also, EEE at BIT Mesra is negligent towards electronics. Therefore, in reality, only the last two categories are left for EEE students.
Thus, as a EEE student at BIT Mesra, you can get placed in the core electrical companies or companies like EXE, Stellium, etc. But if you wish to go for core electronics or coding, you will have to strengthen your knowledge and skills in these domains, all by yourself. The above-mentioned companies are the big MNCs that visit the campus with core electrical profiles.
