I got influenced to take this course due to future opportunities and increase in demand of this branch in IT sector. As it is a very relevant course because it is of 5 year duration which provides you both masters and bachelor degrees . Aur curriculum is well prepared for future reference as there provides all financial and coming overcomes . Area of improvement is need to be changed is that all the latest change in education system need to be approved as soon as possible. Frequency of timing of exam is different for different types of examination as exam is conducted of 10,25,50 marks and 5 marks is there for teachers assessment and difficulties of examination is quite tough as scoring areas are very less without all modules studing.
The choice of mathematics and computing has great applications and need in the following time. The demand for the employment in this firld is in very much demand. Throughout the semester there are two exams one is mid semester and other is end semester.

Mathematics and computing is relatively a new course here and in terms of studies it has good record all the proffesors are very well qualified and they are chill . Course is not great as such there will be 60 % pure maths and 40% computer science.

Bit mesra is opened in 1955 thats why It has a good alumni network they use to take quiz hackathon and many other so that we face real world applications Teachers should try not to use ppt they should try to teach as much as possible mid and end semester exam are difficult but quiz are quite easy about frequency we have exams in each month so it is high and timing are good as time period is enough

The course curriculum is very nice and detailed. The syllabus contains each and every subject important for placement including DSA, DAA, OS , DBMS, Computer Networks etc. as well as core mathematics subjects. The syllabus is a perfect blend of both computer science and Mathematics providing a great base in the areas of Machine Learning and Data Science. A student need not to do any further certification because the curriculum contains every important industry related topics. It provides great base for both industrial and academic research. Only area of improvement is that the college should allow students to choose their own OE and Program electives instead of giving just one option. The exams compromises of 3 quiz+ presentation along with end sem examination.

Here the course curriculum aligns closely with the overall goals and objectives of the elective program. It is well-organized for its relevance, comprehensiveness, and alignment with both industry requirements,

My admission was based on my JEE rank. The college has excellent faculty members that assist students whenever possible and collaborate in all conditions. I don't believe there is any area that need development because it is improving on a daily basis, whether in terms of placement or curriculum. Exam frequency should be lowered to relieve burden on students.

Maths and Computing is considered one of the best branches after CS in IITs today. The BIT tag is also quite popular among engineering aspirants so many enthusiasts of Math and CS go for this branch to avail the opportunities this field offers. From what I have heard, the syllabus is at par with industry needs and the faculty pool is very passionate and approachable.
Mathematics is an indispensable part of Computer Science whether it’s research in data science or development. you need to be proficient in math. This course is designed to bridge the gap between the two which it purposely does, opening gates of innumerable opportunities.
To make the most of this branch, start concentrating on Core Mathematics and programming/DS/competitive programming right from the first year. Start working on a project by the end of the first year and go for an internship in the software domain. By the end of the 4th year, you will be proficient in most CS skills making it possible for you to sit for maximum placements.
So, taking IMSC in Mathematics and Computing at BIT Mesra will be a good decision if you stop comparing your branch with others. The only drawback is that it is not a technical degree but that does not matter in the long run.
The branch was started in 2011 and still has a long way to go. The placement scenario however seems promising since the first batch itself received the highest offer of INR 10 LPA. Most of the seniors I know who belonged to this branch were dependent on off-campus placements and got placed in SAP Labs.
The reason on-campus placements for Integrated MSc in Math and Computing at BIT Mesra are not very promising is that students for this program aren't selected via JEE Mains. Big companies like Goldman Sachs, Amazon, Walmart Labs, etc don't find these students credible enough to work in their companies. However, recently MnC has become the fastest-growing branch on campus right now with students receiving plentiful internship offers from foreign universities, IIT, and IIM.
Ultimately I would like to comment that go for this branch only if you are genuinely interested in it and not as an escape route to one-year JEE preparation. Don’t go for it just because of placements you will end up being disappointed.
