I don’t like the hostel facilities and the mess facilities
I don’t like the unavailability of transport and distance from main market
I dont like how there is no city life outside the college

Admission:

I applied to other NITs and GFTI but i got a better branch here so i opted here and i do got rejection from some NITs because of my rank The admission process here is through Josaa which considers your JEE rank and there is an internal sliding for those who want to upgrade their branch

The overall experience will be good.The faculties are good. The guide us in any problem.
The placement service are quite nice.very less company come for hiring.
The campus is small.there is no hostel and no canteen in the college.

Dislikes

Campus is very small. There is no extra curricular activities in college.
No hostel and canteen in college .we have to go out from college for lunch .
Some of the facilities are rude. Like they don't advise nicely

Admission:

I choose Birla institute of technology mesra,ranchi because BIT is a big name itself. I accept the fact that there fee structure is higher than other colleges but there faculties are good. There teaching methods are good. Professors are friendly. The admission process is you have to go on official website of BIT full the application form and wait for your name in the list . You must have above 50% in 10th and 12th for eligibility .

A Good College!!!

Likes

The campus size is huge, spreading over 780 acres and is lush green.
The gender ratio is good enough. The junior-senior interactions are also fair enough.
The professors are quite approachable and fluent.

Dislikes

Hostel facilities may be improved for better accomodation.
There could be improvements in infrastructure.

Admission:

I chose this college mainly for the branch preference. Also, given that our college is 70 years old, its legacy was enough to allow me to choose it. The decision was right, and I am content that I chose BIT Mesra as my college. As for the vast campus and rich culture, the college is great in competing with tier 2 colleges.

Beyond the Brochures: Fun Days at BIT

Likes

BIT boasts of a buzzing campus life, with lush greenery spread extensively over 750 acres of land. It is surrounded by a confluence of two rivers.
There are a number of social and technical clubs to help students develop expertise on co-curricular activities or hobbies based on one's choice.
The faculty here is quite experienced and has an engaging style of mentoring, including interactive class hours. The placement cell here is quite active and provides internship and pre-placement offers for students after completion of third year.

Dislikes

The strict attendance criteria of 75% could be relaxed to some extent.

Admission:

I chose to take admission in this college because of my branch preference. The course that I'm currently enrolled into, is of my interest and has a good scope in future years. Our collge undergoes its admission procedure based on our rank of the All-India JEE MAINS examinations held every year.

BIT Mishra is well regarded for computer science ece and mechanical engineering the faculty is also experienced with many holding psds from international institutions some department like cs and ec have technically sound professors which blend theory
There are regular workshops especially in top branches
The social life is also very interesting the students are very well social

Dislikes

The syllabus can feel a bit outdated for branches like aiml and core branches
The hostel policies are very strict and administration is also very old

Admission:

The structure inclusion of core subjects early on gave confidence in building a strong foundational base the curriculum also include electives in trending areas like AI machine learning cybersecurity Real world readiness The curriculum prepared students well for competitive exams and take interviews especially in circled branches It provides good theoretical depth but lacks strong practical integration

Likes

Labs are good. Adequate number of labs present branch wise all the some equipments are not working and they are not fixed timely. Big lust green maintain campus is here. Classes are air conditioned
Aur classes contain black board with projector and DIGI board. A big sports complex is here for sports facility containing football ground tennis courts cricket ground gym etc.
Boys to girls ratio is 4:1 Students from different states take admission here like not and South India.you interact with different culture students.

Dislikes

Lots of local students from Bihar and Jharkhand due to home state reservation for Jharkhand students limiting interaction of variety of students and promoting hindi talking locally which is bad while u sit for interview and placement .
Hostel is maintained but the student accommodation is not good. They are feeling to students in room size made only for one student. Also only one table and chair is provided for two student. Metal bed and table is there which is inconvenient in cold
Management is not good as they do not reveal original Prince placement data student wise.They just give average number . Also placement rate is decreasing.

Admission:

I got a seat in NIT Patna during josa counselling mechanical branch but I considered bit mesra ece due to more industrial demand,better increment and big campus.Nit patna has very small campus but is located in core of patna but bit mesra has big beautiful campus but 16km far from ranchi JN which is inconvenient for travel. But bit got their own buses free for their students and staff. This college has better placement rates and %age than nit patna. Our college mainly accept students through JEE main exam. Cut off is available everywhere. There is one more admission process through state counselling available for category students.namely bc 1 and bc 2. Once you get a seat allotted through josaa counselling the college declared a date on which you have to come for document verification and on that day you get your hostel allotment and roll number. It was very crowded I can remember on first day of admission as lot of parents came on same day. Around 500 to 600 students along with their parents came on first day for admission.I came to college at 2:30 p.m. and ended up 10:00 p.m. during the whole process. I would say the management would not handled the crowd efficiently. No more seats for sitting for parents. Overall it was an average experience while my admission.

Likes

Beautiful Campus and large enough to cater all needs of a student
Labs are good and as far as equipments are concerned they are working
Teacher are for the most part supportive. Exceptions always there

Dislikes

Campus is borderless on two sides and hence there are security concerns. Alot of mishaps have happened in the past and continues to.
Little far from the city for food purpose. Zomato Swiggy takes extra delivery charge to deliver stuff.
Campus goes silent when sunsets. Night culture is quite nil coz Hostels are separate for all and Girls have a IN TIME RESTRICTION OF 9PM which makes it horrible for them.

I had NIT Raipur Chemical Engg, rejected it because I didn't like the campus amenities of the same, zero sports facilities, they play Football on a Red Soil literally. I got this in CSAB and hence it was a better ranked college than NITRR, i've heard of people opting a lower preferred branch in BITM over a branch in NITRR such the brand value of the college. I scored pretty avg in JEE 58k rank so wasn't eligible for all the clgs anyhow. Admission process is pretty simple JOSSA and CSAB. Admission experience is obviously good because why would a clg not welcome a laxmi lol jk.

BIT Mesra is mesmerizing!!

Only the students who have ranked top are a part of this college as otherwise students dont get entry here.
Even with such a large crowd students are into their own and societies with nearly 1000 students exists in our college.

Dislikes

Our academic load is even higher than that of closed rank colleges or for that matter even NITs.

GPAT score is what taken into account and in 12th 60% or more is mandatory. Also JEE scores are considered but again baby IITs level of score is required and therefore students mostly come through GPAT here.

Every faculty is open for any doubt of students in the university. Neither of the student is discriminated over any particular thing
University is very beautiful. The campus is filled with trees, plants and flowers. Every area inside the campus is beutifully maintained by workers.
Students from different states of India come to study in my university. Since it is an engineering college, girl is to boy ratio is 4:1

Dislikes

Faculties try to complete the syllabus in very fast speed

Admission:

Since I prepared for NEET , my scores were not enough to take admission in any government medical College or in private medical colleges with scholarship. My score was not good enough to take admission in those. Therefore I chose Biotechnology in BIT Mesra

BIT Mesra offers BTech as its flagship program, based on the JEE Mains score followed by the JoSAA.The BIT Mesra BTech cutoff is released by JoSAA based on the previous year’s cutoff, difficulty of the exam, availability of seats, and no. of students. JoSAA released the cutoff for the home state and other state candidates, with the closing cutoff for the BIT Mesra BTech remaining at 50395 ranks (OS) and 69822 ranks (HS).
