- BIT boasts of a buzzing campus life, with lush greenery spread extensively over 750 acres of land. It is surrounded by a confluence of two rivers.
- There are a number of social and technical clubs to help students develop expertise on co-curricular activities or hobbies based on one's choice.
- The faculty here is quite experienced and has an engaging style of mentoring, including interactive class hours. The placement cell here is quite active and provides internship and pre-placement offers for students after completion of third year.

- The strict attendance criteria of 75% could be relaxed to some extent.

- BIT Mishra is well regarded for computer science ece and mechanical engineering the faculty is also experienced with many holding psds from international institutions some department like cs and ec have technically sound professors which blend theory
- There are regular workshops especially in top branches
- The social life is also very interesting the students are very well social

- The syllabus can feel a bit outdated for branches like aiml and core branches
- The hostel policies are very strict and administration is also very old

- Labs are good. Adequate number of labs present branch wise all the some equipments are not working and they are not fixed timely. Big lust green maintain campus is here. Classes are air conditioned
- Aur classes contain black board with projector and DIGI board. A big sports complex is here for sports facility containing football ground tennis courts cricket ground gym etc.
- Boys to girls ratio is 4:1 Students from different states take admission here like not and South India.you interact with different culture students.
Dislikes
- Lots of local students from Bihar and Jharkhand due to home state reservation for Jharkhand students limiting interaction of variety of students and promoting hindi talking locally which is bad while u sit for interview and placement .
- Hostel is maintained but the student accommodation is not good. They are feeling to students in room size made only for one student. Also only one table and chair is provided for two student. Metal bed and table is there which is inconvenient in cold
- Management is not good as they do not reveal original Prince placement data student wise.They just give average number . Also placement rate is decreasing.

Can I get into BIT Mesra if my OBC rank is 30,600?
There are OBC-NCL and OBC-NCL (PwD) admissions at BIT Mesra through JoSAA counseling. However, 54 seats are offered by BIT Mesra in the OBC category for BC1 and BC2, only to the students of Jharkhand.
The college releases the notification to apply for these seats on its official website. If you are from Jharkhand, you can get a seat at BIT through this allotment scheme, in a branch such as Civil or Chemical. If luck favors you, you may even get into EEE or Mechanical. If you are a non Jharkhand candidate, you can only get in through your general rank in AI quota. Most probably your General AI rank is 80k+. This rank won't be enough to get an admission into BIT.
Thus, your rank won’t possibly get you an admission into BIT Mesra. However, you go for the NIT of your home state.

BIT Mesra offers BTech as its flagship program, based on the JEE Mains score followed by the JoSAA.The BIT Mesra BTech cutoff is released by JoSAA based on the previous year’s cutoff, difficulty of the exam, availability of seats, and no. of students. JoSAA released the cutoff for the home state and other state candidates, with the closing cutoff for the BIT Mesra BTech remaining at 50395 ranks (OS) and 69822 ranks (HS).
As per the previous data available the cutoff may vary as per the category and quota such as BIT Mesra, JEE Main All India Cutoff 2023 for the General Category is 1645 in round 8, and for the Home state, it is 6098 in round 8 or the BArch course. BIT Mesra, JEE Main All India Cutoff 2023 for EWS Category is 42102 in round 7, and for the Home state, it is 936 in round 6 or the BArch course. BIT Mesra, JEE Main All India Cutoff 2023 for OBC Category is 3757 in round 8, and for the SC All India Cutoff is 14400 in round 6 or the BArch course.
