Master of Science [M.Sc] (Mathematics) From BIT Mesra, Ranchi

Candidates of B.Sc. (Hons.) Mathematics must have a minimum of 55% marks on average (50% for SC/ST) in their Hons subject. Candidates of other graduate courses must have a minimum of 55% marks on average (50% for SC/ST) in graduation. 

BIT Mesra offers M.Tech and ME in various specializations, M.Sc. in various specializations, MUP, MBA, MCA, M.Pharm courses.

Minimum eligibility for ME and M.Tech is BE/B.Tech in a relevant discipline. For MUP, candidate must pass in B.Arch degree and for MBA, candidates must pass in any graduate degree. For M.Sc., candidate must pass in B.Sc. degree in relevant discipline. Minimum eligibility for M.Pharm is candidate must pass in B.Pharm degree and for MCA, candidate must pass in BCA or degree.

Selection to ME/M.Tech/M.UP program is done on the basis of GATE. The Merit list will be prepared on the basis of GATE Score (80% weightage) and past academic profile (20%). 

Similarly, M.Pharm program will conduct its selection on the basis of GPAT scores. 80% of the weightage will be given to GPAT scores whereas 20% will be given to past academic profile. 

For MBA, candidates are selected on the basis of CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT followed by GD/PI.

Admission to M.Pharm is done on the basis of GPAT. Selection to MCA is done on the basis of entrance test and interview conducted by the institute. Admission to M.Sc. is done on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination.

• MBA program will be offered in Mesra (Main campus) and off campuses, namely, Allahabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lalpur & Noida.
• M.Tech (CSE) will also be offered at Allahabad, Patna, Noida & Kolkata.
• ME (EEE) will also be offered at Patna & Kolkata.

MBA application form can be filled online by following the listed steps:

1. Visit the official website of BIT, Mesra and click on ‘Admission’ tab.
2. Now click on ‘MBA Notification’ followed by a click on ‘New Admission’.
3. Register and fill all personal details like Name, Entrance score along with document upload.
4. Submit the application form and fill the application fee of INR 2500 (INR 1500 for reserved categories) through State Bank Collect, i.e., Credit/ Debit card/ Net-banking in favour of ‘Birla Institute of Technology’.
5. Take a printout of the application form and note down the registration number.

Note: Students need to carry the printout of the application form at the time of GD & PI.
