BIT Mesra B.Tech Chemical Engineering: Fees 2026, Course Duration, Dates, Eligibility

Year-wise tution fee for B.Tech(approx) 1st year - 3,45,700 Hostel+Mess= 1,01,747 2nd year- 3,69,000 Hostel+Mess= 1,01,300 3rd year- 4,06,000 Hostel+Mess= 97,432 4th year- 3,91,000 Hostel+ Mess= More than 1 lakh approx

Fees is little high of this college....for my batch which is K25 total cost of my 4 year btech program is around 2100000 Rs with mess and hostel included. And yes it is increasing per year with a certain rate

BIT Mesra is Ranchi's best college for doing engineering. We have students from many cities and even some countries studying here and therefore fees for everyone is different. For students of Jharkhand the fees is 4 lakhs for engineering and because I am an outsider the fees is 5 lakhs a a year. For NRI students the fees is 10 lakhs a year.

The college is above average for students who want a GFTI. College life at BITMESRA is pretty good enough for students. The chemical engineering branch is not so hectic that students can invest time in their interests, too.

The semester fees to be paid are as follows: 1st semester : ?1,61,500 2nd semester : ?1,61,500 3rd semester: ?1,77,000 4rth semester: ?1,77,000 5th semester: ? 1,94,500 6th semester:?1,94,500 7th semester: ? 2,14,000 8th semester: ?2,14,000 At the time of admission an extra fee of rupees 90000 is taken which includes 20000 as the admission fee, 10000 as the caution money and rupees 60000 is the IT and digital infrastructure charges which covers the expense of the HP probook laptop and a backpack provided to the students. •The hostel seat rent is ?40,000 for 1st year , ?44,000 for 2nd year , ?48,000 for 3rd year, and ?52,000 for 4rth year. •Transport charges to Ranchi city and back to college is included in the hostel rent . • Electricity bill is also included in the hostel rent . • The mess fee is to be paid in advance at the beginning is the semester, it varies as per the expense on food occurred by the hostel . It ranges from ?20,000-?30,000 per semester. For the 1st semester the advance of ? 30,000 is fixed. •If the student is unable to clear a semester due to multiple backs then he or she may attend the summer semester which is the short semester by paying a fee of rupees 40000. For every restest of the backpaper ?5,000 is chargeable . For clearing the back in lab •Upto 100 % Scholarship is available by the institute for excellent academic performance. •Various NGOs and corporate give their own scholarships to students with family income less than 2.5 lpa. •Students belonging to the SC/ST category are allowed to issue all the corsebooks for the entire semester while other category students are charged fine for submission after 5 days . •No special scholarship is provided by the institute to any student based on the category he/she belongs to . The fees for all the B. Tech courses and MnC are the same. For B.Pharma the total fees is?15,00,000. The fee structure of the institute changes every year. For every new batch there is an increment in the fees.

Year-wise fees is approx Rs 4,50,000 including institute fees, hostel fees , mess fees etc. My tuition fees is Rs 1,44,000 per semester , development fees is Rs 10,000 per semester , Institute exam fees is Rs 7,500 per semester , Caution fees is Rs 5,000 per semester .

BIT Mesra is not at all cheap and is perhaps one of the most expensive colleges in Jharkhand. However, if one asks whether it was a value pick or not then my answer is yes. The fees is 4.8 lakhs a year and obviously it's different than the hostel fees that we pay. Scholarships are there but since it's a private college one can't expect much scholarships for the same.

BIT Mesra Ranchi, fees is slightly high and also the number of students are quite high. However, to maintain such a campus fees will always be high as we have everything available right at our campus. Our fees is 4.8 lakhs a year and even SC/ST students get just 15-20% scholarships which is otherwise 50 or more in most cases.

BIT Mesra Ranchi is among the best engineering college in Jharkhand. Also, we have students from many states and cities of India and because it has limited seats and high demand the fees is obviously high. The fees for a year is 4.8 lakhs and total engineering tuition fees will be around 20 lakhs.

BIT Mesra has a fees which is slightly or rather high as it's between 4-5 lakhs a year. Also, if I include and hostel and mess fees, it comes down to close to 8 lakhs a year. So, ya in this regard college lacks a bit but in my eyes, it's still a value pick.
