Course Curriculum Overview
The course has been modified with respect to the NEP 2020 framework . We have relative grading and updated syllabus and curriculum . The college adopts new technology very eagerly and effectively . With advanced labs and up to date instruments we have gaied a very good experience with devices that are used in modern industries . Although the syllabus has been designed very well still we are taught basics which might sound old but are ver necessary .
Internships Opportunities
The college provide internships for students in their 3rd year . It has also a summer internship programme for students of other institutes . With clubs like EEESoc , ACM , IEEE , IETE , ECESoc the students are provided with projects in their pre-final or final year .
Placement Experience
The placements scenario considering the market trend is actually good in the Core as well as IT sector . People of their choice get companies to have a placement talk . With CSE performing the best at an average of 18 LPA CTC .
Fees and Financial Aid
The total academic fee for 4 year engineering course is 15,84,000 . We have a merit based scholarship program called the GP Birla Scholarship. Admission fee is 90,000 and 4 year hostel fee is 1,84,000.
Campus Life
The Campus has all the available facilities with sports , clubs and other activities . We have a total of around 33 Clubs of different domain . A very huge library with latest hard as well as soft copies of the books . We have students run welfare groups as well as NGOs.
Hostel Facilities
We have a double acomodation hostel facility in all the years . The hostels are quite large and spacious . We do not have AC rooms available . There are a total of 2 girls hostel and 11 boys hostel but each one has a varying capacity . The hostel fee is around 20,000 per semester and food served is quite good and has a variety .
Admission
Considering my JEE rank BIT Mesra is the best college I could have got . With a branch like EEE in one of the best GFTI of India I am very glad . We have to have a good JEE rank to enter into the college . The college has 50% seats reserved for the HOME STATE students .
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is quite good with a faculty teaching to 60 students at a time . We have two quizes , a midsem and an end sem exam each semester . All the faculties are highly qualified and have expertise in their respective fields.
Night Life
The Campus has two multifunctional gym for boys and girls separately . Cafetarias to discuss ideas with colleagues and public sitting areas with descent weather . There are almost 13 Hostels . The food unlike other hostels is actually good as well as has a lot of variety ,the mess is run by students by them suggesting the menu . The Campus has an entry timing of 10PM at night while we can easily walk even at midnight inside campus for boys but for girls they have an entry timing of 9 PM .
