Course Curriculum Overview
I had an interest in mechanical and this college has a very reputed mechanical course being it's one of the oldest course and the faculties and facilities of mechanical are good and provide very good things for my career The curriculum should be updated in the course The exams are on the average level with 1 midsem and end sem in a semester with some quizzes in between
Internships Opportunities
A lot of companies come for on campus internship and people do get internships if they are eligible and worthy companies like Tata Motors Flipkart etc give internships with range around 10k to 20k You can even do projects under your professor which can be great for your cv
Placement Experience
From 5th sem you become eligible for campus placement Around 200 companies visit and the placement percentage stats is around 70 percent The highest package is 1.41 crore and the average package is around 10 lpa I will do job for a year and go for higher studies
Fees and Financial Aid
Year wise you will be paying around 4 lakh for course and 1 lakh for hostel and mess combined the college do provide merit based scholarship and some scholarship for backward castes and even scholarship for high ranking individuals in JEE
Campus Life
It has a rich campus life and there are several fests going on throughout the year but there are two main fears pantheon which is the tech fest and Bitotsav which 'is the cultural fest and there is Vajra the sports fest The library has rich variety of books and the facilities for sports and gym is top notch with all equipment's available
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facility is not great with only fan and lan provided and the rooms are very old the mess is okay and but they make great non veg meals you get the hostel after you take admission in the college there is a vastu Vihar just outside the gate where you can rent a room or pg
Admission
I applied to other NITs and GFTI but i got a better branch here so i opted here and i do got rejection from some NITs because of my rank The admission process here is through Josaa which considers your JEE rank and there is an internal sliding for those who want to upgrade their branch
Faculty
Some of the faculty are very helpful and there are some are not , the lab faculties are mostly frustrated and won't help you but the assistant will be there for you theory faculties are all helpful and you can reach out to them for any problem
Night Life
For boys there is no in time and there are night canteens so you can pretty go there and the nights are usually not silent but students will be there and it will be like day but girls have in time at 9 pm the famous hangout spots are techno IC down south turchi
