Course Curriculum Overview

4

The reason I have selected this course is my interest towards the field of growing Electrical need in the world, the grow Ev vehcile research. However in the first year of the Engineering the course cirriculum is same for all the enginneering branches. They teach us the Basic of Mechanical, Electrical, electronics engineering branches and then subjects like maths, physics, chemistry, biology and environmental science and then the labs. The syllabus is quite out dated and quite a bit overlaps with the +2 Science.

Placement Experience

4.5

There is special department for the PLacement and Training in the campus. The placements are good for the college. the students are edigible to seat for the campus placements in the 8th semester if they do not have any backlogs in previous semesters. The Highest package last year was 54 lpa and average for the CSE branch was abhout19 lpa with placement percentage of 91%. The placements of the other branches are not as high and good as the CSE branch. I will carry on my own buisness after getting the degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

The cost of Engineering at Bit mesra is abhout 18.5 lakhs for the 4 years you spend here (including the tution fee, mesh fees and hostel fees only). The fees increase significantly each year. For the 1 and 2nd semesters it is about 1.5 lakhs and coming to 7th and th 8th semester it will become 3 lakhs for each semester. The college provides Gp birla and other scholarships for the merit students which is the fee waiver according to your CGPA scored in the past semester.

Campus Life

5

The main fest organised here are Pantheon (the Tech fest) and Bitotsav ( the main cultural fest) followed by many other programs every year. the campus library is huge with a total volume books of 1,53,543. There is a sports complex with two football grounds, two Basketball courts, volleyball ground, hockey ground, cricket oval and indoor badminton stadium. Each hostel having their own playing grounds too. There is also an annual sports meet organised between 9-10 boys hostels and 2 girls hostels. There many cultural and technical clubs as well and the partition of students in the club activities is very high. The clubs are Rotract, Leo, IEEE, IET, EEESoc, ECESoc, Cheminos, Team_Srijan, Team_Aveon, Team_Firebolt, Literacy society, UNESCO, Music club DAVANI, Fine arts society, Fianance Club and manhy more. NSS and NCC are also there.

Hostel Facilities

4

There are in total 13 Hostel in the campus among which 2 are for girls. The rooms are of decent size but well furnised enabled with free campus wifi. The meal is given 3 times a day and snacks at the evening. The budget and menu of the mess of decided totally by the students comittee of the campus so it good. For Each semester the cost of the Hostel and Mess will be around 45-55K. The toilets and the floors are regularly cleaned. The best hostels of our college are HOSTEL-1 HOSTEL-2, HOSTEL-3 and HOSTEL-4.

Admission

I took addmission through CSAB counseling. My percentile in jee mains 2023 was 96 percentile. Firstly though the jossa counseling the best I was getting was Chemical engineering but later after Participating in CSAB I got a seat on EEE so I preferred to take addmission. I took admission throung the institute Counselling of BC I and BC II students of the Homestate. Although the cut-off goes same nowadays as of the jossa counselling. Exams here are conducted too frequently. each semester is of 4 months and there are four exams in each sem the two quizes of 10 marks each and mid semester of 25 marks and last the End sem exams of 50 marks. Remaining 5 marks are internal.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty to student ratio in BIT mesra is good. I dont remember the exact figures but there are in total 350 Teaching Faculty in the campus. The teaching method followed by most of the faculty in no diffrent from anothers colleges. The batch size for the first year Engineering is about 120 so the interactions with the faculty in the lecture time is decent. The faculty live within the campus and therefore you may frequently encounter them. They are interactive. I would rate them as per now to be 7.

Guess BIT is better than KIIT in terms of placements

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

1.The main thing about our campus, campus placements are so good. Branches like CSE & ECE have high placement percentage about 90. 2.From 3rd year students got involved college internships and programmes that allow them to better placements. 3.Top companies like Google,Microsoft,Amazon,Intel,Samsung etc visited our campus. And the highest package of our campus is about 60LPA offered by Amazon. 4.I planned to work after completing my B.Tech.

Placement Experience:

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

Placement Experience:

On-campus placements are provided to pretty much everyone in the college. With one of the highest percentages of students getting placed, yet the average CTC offered is not up to loving standards, a lot of students opt for higher studies and IAS preparation after college.

We had very little companies for placement ibm and hcl came for bpo jobs.. About 80% left with no jobs after completing the session... Very poor placement opportunities. After completing the jobs most of us went to banglore for searching jobs... We had placement if any after completing 8 semesters We had ibm and hcl but they asked for donations before giving jobs. Packages were 3.6 Lakh to 5 Lakh per year. Overall 20% got placement. I prepared for Government exams after completing my degree.
