A Genuine Review

According to my point of view the course relevance is not upto the mark as there are still more theory papers conducted rather than practical testing of students skills. But, There are few areas which are very relevant for the real world applications. The quizzes conducted are of 1 hour long , midsems of 2 hours and endsems for 3 hours. Students gets few days prepatory leave for mid and end semster exams.

I am currently studying in first year and i am unaware about the companies which offer internship opportunities . But I do listen that many of our senior have cracked internship in google,amazon and in other reputed companies.

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

For The first Year including Hostel fees it's about 483000 . For the second year including hostel fees it's about 425000. For the third year including hostel fees it's about 465000. For the fourth year including hostel fees it's about 505000.

Technika is one of the annual cultural fest , Abhiyakti is one of the technical fest ,Prakida is one the grand annual sports fest , Xordium is technical fest ,Literati etc. There are more than 10000 books available for students to study and journals are also available for students. One of the major cons present at this campus is lack of technological facilities in the classrooms. PT and Games subject has made mandatory for students in their curriculum till 4th semster for 1 Credit and Along with Prakida many other sports tournament are organized named BPL for cricket , VPL for Volleyball etc. Many student runned groups are present in the campus like Dance club , Drama Club ,Music Club etc.

1)In the very first year 2 students are allowed to accomodate in one room but from second year each students get single room. In each room we get on iron bed , study table , chair and racks . For internet connection we get a very high speed LAN connection. 2)Food quality is very satifying as there is one mess committee formed from the residents of that hostel itself they fix the menu for the whole month according which food is served on daily basis. At the end of each month One Mess PArty is organised in which one can get different variety of food to have. 3)At the time of admission one can register for the hostel and the accomodation date shall be probably one week later after the admission date or would the informed about the date by respective person.

Actually This college was in my list but as a last option as i was getting RVCE and BMS few reputed colleges of bangalore but my parents insisted for this college as this college carries a good brand name of BIT,Mesra. Yes, Due to my not so good performance in JEE Mains I did not get the college i was hoping for. A student should first appear in JEE Mains and score a good percentile to get in to this college. This college takes admission of students through josaa/csab counselling and through one OBC Counselling.

1) Faculty members are quite experienced mostly faculty holds more than 20 years of experience. But there are many newly appointed faculty members holding experience more than 5 to 10 years 2)There are 90 faculty members for the only btech course. 3)The faculty is to students ratio is about 1:10. 4)The faculty members are very helfpul and are quite approachable and are very keen to solve students problems. 5)In the very first year there are two semesters and in each semsters you have to prepare for 5 theroy papers and 5 sessional(lab) exams. 6)In the theory paper which consists of 100 marks is conducted in four stages i.e Quiz-I for 10 marks (Difficulty Level - Easy) , Mid Sems for 25 marks are of medium level , Quiz-II for 10 marks of easy level ,5 marks given by teachers based on their assessment of students/Assignment and End Sems for 50 marks is of Hard Level. 7)In Sessional Exams ,2 quizzes of 10 marks each , 20 marks for viva , 30 marks for performance and 30 marks for lab files. 8)Almost 90 percent of students get passed in first year as their is relative marking scheme for the first year students.

1)There is gym present for students which open for 3 hours in morning and for 3 hours in the evening and girls and boys timing are different . 2)One canteen is present in the campus and One nescafe is there which are available till 11pm . 3)Library is open for students from 9 am to 9 pm . 4)There are many restriction for first year students as they are only allowed till 7 pm in the campus premises after 7 pm they should be inside hostel or they will get fined. 5)Famous hangout place is nescafe or canteen .
