Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum for the electronics and communication department is comprehensive as the topics which are taught provide an in-depth knowledge regarding the subject, in relevance to the industry requirements of the upcoming years. Students who pursue this course rigorously can also opt for higher studies. The frequency of exams is a bit high, considering the short span within which one needs to grasp all the subjects.

Placement Experience

4

The placement cell of our college is quite active and provides internship opportunities and pre-placement offers for students in their third and fourth years. It invites reputed companies like Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Accenture, IBM, Intel, Infosys, Cognizant, Deloitte, and many more. The average package is about 12LPA and highest package is about 52 LPA. Branches like CSE offer even higher, lucrative packges.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fee structure of our college per year is 4.38 lakhs approximately. Upon course completion, the total tution fees is 13.35 lakhs, the development fees is 93000, the institute examination fees is 74500.The total additional amount to be paid at the time of admission including admission fee( 20000), caution money (10000), IT and digital infrastructure fee (60000), is 90000.

Campus Life

4

BIT has a buzzing campus life with more than 20 social clubs and technical clubs. The annual cultural fest, BITOTSAV is held in the month of March, with numerous events like organised by different clubs like LitSoc, Ehsaas, Dhwani, Leo and many more.

Hostel Facilities

4

BIT has a total of 14 hostels: 12 for boys and 2 for girls. A hostel fees and mess advance is required to be paid during online registration at the start of each semester for hostel accomodation. The hostel facilities are good to moderate with a double accomodation in each room. Each room consists of a single table, a chair and a closet. The meal quality is moderate and the menu consists of a variety of foods.

Admission

I chose to take admission in this college because of my branch preference. The course that I'm currently enrolled into, is of my interest and has a good scope in future years. Our collge undergoes its admission procedure based on our rank of the All-India JEE MAINS examinations held every year.

Faculty

4

The faculty members are highly experienced both in terms of qualification and expertise, as all of them are Ph.D holders. The faculty to student ratio ranges from about 1:5 to 1:10 depending upon the specific department. The proffessors are cooperative and approachable. We have a mid-semester exam, an end-semester exam and two theory quizzes for each subject per semester. Apart from that, lab viva and exams are also conducted for practical subjects.

Night Life

4

The night life in our college is fine as there are various food trucks, Nescafe and a student canteen within the campus. The favourite hangout spot in our college is the IC arena or the upper lawn, where students can take a long walk in the evening after a hectic day's schedule. Gym facilities are available in all hostels with necessary equipments, in order to ensure physical health of students along with academic rigour. Female students have an in-time in their respective hostels at 9 pm.

Remarks:

Atlast I just want to say that I am in my final year and I don't have any disappointments with my college because as this college is a government funded college and it's fees quite good , it has been rated as one of the best return of investment colleges in India. You also get sufficient amount of time to study and you can build a career of your own as most of us hear are doing and the college is improving again but like I said this sufficient time can also hinder your career if you're not serious for your career. The changes I would like to see was that more emphasis was given on the research field and the placement scene was enhanced a bit that can only take place by the joint efforts of the college administration and the students too
