Course Curriculum Overview
According to my JEE mains rank I was getting electronic and communication engineering in BIT Mesra and Mechanical engineering in NIT Patna I did not consider for more options these two where seeing suitable to me. But according to the development of India we need more of hardware engineer rather than software as lot of students are studying computer science in government and private colleges. Keeping the fact in mind that India to become a manufacturing hub we need more of hardware electronic engineers. The starting salary package of ECE and mechanical is more or less the same in both colleges but I preferred electronics keeping the need for electronic engineers in mind. One major reason was the increment of package in electronics is more than in mechanical engineering. This curriculum is relevant but also provide us industrial training programs which help us to understand the need of today's industry. Our college need more of the well knowledgeable and trained faculties to go up with the need of cutting edge technologies. Our college conducts four exams during a semester. Quiz 1-10 mark Quiz 2-10 mark Mid sem exam -25 mark End sem exam-50 mark 5 mark assessment. Moderate level difficulty. Scoring inquizes is and mid semester examination is comparatively easy then and semester examination where checking of the papers is hard.
Internships Opportunities
Many companies like Tata Steel Tata motor Flipkart Amazon Microsoft Accenture deloit,SAIL india, coal India, hindustan petroleum, Mahindra TVS and lot more companies offer internship and stipend of approx 15-20000 per month in areas like Bangalore.however this is not to good but it's fine. For complete list of companies you can visit the official website of our college bitmesra.ac.in You can find all these placement related details there. As I am a first year students I don't have enough information regarding the projects and outcomes to clarify the tasks asked by the companies.
Placement Experience
At the end of 6th semester student get internship offers and become eligible for placement. Around 150 companies visit every year and 400 to 500 offers are made it also depends on year but you can find recent datas on College website. It has a very strong aluminium network as this is an older college around 70 years old. Many companies like Amazon,Flipkart ,Microsoft ,deloit ,Accenture,L&T ,Tata steel,TCS ,coal India,TVS, mahindra, tata motors visit here. Once you obtain degree from this college there is a very high chance that you will get placed around 10 lpa if you are a good student. However unfortunately you don't get placed you can also try off campus else you need to prepare for other government competitive exams. Around 70-80% get placee every year. How ever this number is high in case of core branches like mechanical chemical production and industrial because this college is located in Ranchi Jharkhand where tech companies visit less and core companies visit more. CS is considered best branch but the number of students is also high in these branches.

Campus Life
I would say my experience with campus life is great. There are lot of clubs cultural and technical clubs which help you to boost of your skills social teamwork communication and debate etc. there is a huge library containing over 150000 books I would say this is really phenomenal but some books are older and torn. Also they provide 5 books for 15 days only for general and OBC student at one go, but for a whole semester SC and ST category students. Classrooms are well maintained well furnished equipped with digital boards projector and green boards. There is a special research and development building which contains fabrication units lab equipments for electronic branch and computer science branch. The whole college is covered with Internet facilities all the experience point where according to your hostel rooms as some tones does not have good coverage. We have a very big sports complex which contains football ground to basketball courts won lawn tennis court which is unwanted but yet it exist, two badminton court 2 tennis court 1 multi gym containing lot of equiments. Lot of sports event are conducted through out the year. Every hostel got one badminton court and one volleyball court in space in front of hostel. There are lot of clubs like ehsaas Leo revolution aerospace society drama club all run by students which increase their social skills and teamwork headed by a faculty. 30 clubs are great if you want to boost your non academic skills which are important while getting placements your communication skills also improves.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facility is good but the accommodation is not good. They fit you in very small room which is meant for one person but two are allotted in one. Even you get only one table and one chair. Very few space is left after two beds. Clothes are furnished laundry is available water supply is always available bathroom or clean. There are three Western and two Indian type toilets in one bathroom . And for bathroom for bathing and two geysers for two bathroom each. The bed is of metal and also the table which is very bad in winters. The mess is completely managed by students they make their menu themselves. But the quality of cook is not good you will get bored after eating some time. However this is different for different hostels. Every room is equipped with internet connection and LAN facility. Affordability is quite good as they charge you rs 20000 rupees for one semester for hostel rent. One fan and one tube light is provided and two beds ,chair and table.nothing else . You are allotted hostels on the same day you come for admission.
Admission
I got a seat in NIT Patna during josa counselling mechanical branch but I considered bit mesra ece due to more industrial demand, better increment and big campus.Nit patna has very small campus but is located in core of patna but bit mesra has big beautiful campus but 16km far from ranchi JN which is inconvenient for travel. But bit got their own buses free for their students and staff. This college has better placement rates and %age than nit patna. Our college mainly accept students through JEE main exam. Cut off is available everywhere. There is one more admission process through state counselling available for category students.namely bc 1 and bc 2. Once you get a seat allotted through josaa counselling the college declared a date on which you have to come for document verification and on that day you get your hostel allotment and roll number. It was very crowded I can remember on first day of admission as lot of parents came on same day. Around 500 to 600 students along with their parents came on first day for admission.I came to college at 2:30 p.m. and ended up 10:00 p.m. during the whole process. I would say the management would not handled the crowd efficiently. No more seats for sitting for parents. Overall it was an average experience while my admission.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is 1:70 and 1:120 for 1st year students. Professors are quite approachable. Many of the faculties are well knowledgeable and are good teachers also generally they are researchers. But eventually some are bad who even don't know to operate a personal computer properly while teaching in the class they only come read the text and go. In electronics and communication engineering branch some of the teachers like srikanta Pal SK dash and Richa Mishra very knowledgeable and highly experience with good teaching method. Although they are strict to the homework they give and maintain decorum in the class. Some are bad like my mathematics teacher and My biology teacher Hariram Singh who is around 55 years old have very little knowledge about this course but still teaching b.tech students I don't know how and why the college allotted such kind of professors.More overe they have communication gap rather than skills. The difficulty of exams is moderate not tough. The course is relevant but to meet industry level needs they conduct regular industrial training program to make the requirement of industries for the students. Very few students fail but most of them pass. There is 2 quizes 1 mid semester exam and one end semester exam during a whole semester.
Interview Experience
I haven't yet reached the state where I am eligible for set for interview or placement so I haven't any group discussions yet. I can take help of my seniors on this things to know more about gd and interview
Night Life
As bit is a residential campus student are allowed to room everywhere in the college in unrestricted and safe areas whole night. But girls are not allowed to leave of the hostel after 8:30 and return back before 9:00 there is no such restrictions on boys. Most of the shops present around college like cafeteria get closed by 9:00 p.m. the gym timing is from 4:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. in morning and 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in evening. The night life is kind of average but there are night canteens in every hostels open till 4:00 a.m. if you are hungry you can go and eat there. You can take bicycle make a group of friends and Roam in the whole college this is kind of gathering memories. The social culture between girls and boys is also good. You can talk to any girl meet them everywhere in the college.Boys and girls sit together in class. The college premises is completely safe for students as approx 150 guards are deployed overnight in the campus. However you can't leavethe campus after 10 p.m
