Course Curriculum Overview

4

My father is a MTech Mechanical Engg. so he reviewed the curriculum and it is approved by him hence i chose it. Course curriculum has quite alot of non necessary topics which are never asked in examinations, it might be due to same profs setting the papers. Timing of exams are very well managed either it is in the afternoon or 10 in the morning which is well suited for late night studious people. Difficulty level is moderate only as mostly PYQs get repeated and it is the best way to prepare for an exam

Internships Opportunities

3

FSSAI has offered stipends of 10k for Food Tech & Chemical Engg Students. Accenture 60k & Wells Fargo 80k & Goldman Sachs for SDEs roles offer 90k eligible are CSE/AIML students only. TATA Steel, Tata Power, Tata Motors offer upto 40k stiped for Mech Engg. students. Mercedes, Volvo, Maruti, Hyundai also bag some offers for Mech interns

Placement Experience

3

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

Fees and Financial Aid

Total fees is 1451000 INR. Semester wise the install ment fees keeps increasing as follows 145700 for 2 sems 162500 for next 2 sems,179000 for the following 2sems, and 195500 for the last 2 sems plus 82700 INR for other amenities of clg.(Caution money, IT Development, Admission Fees) 232000 INR for Hostel +Mess fees during 8 sems. Integrated MSc has a Tuition +Caution +Admission +IT Dev Fee of 840700 INR. One interesting point i would like to mention is that they provide HP G10 Laptop Ryzen 5 to each student and it is compulsory to accept it. (Its cost is already included in the fees) For SC ST students with good rank in JEE Mains receive upto 100% tuition fee waiver. GP Birla Scholarship is merit based scholarship on basis of CGPA in each semester. It is category wise for all students.

Campus Life

4

BITOTSAV in Jan is the annual fest whereas Pantheon in Oct is the Tech Fest. E-Summit is Entreprenaurship Fest. Athletic Meet is held in Jan-Feb and all sports are covered except Lawn tennis. Library is very good has alot of books, has online library access too which is very good for research projects. Classes are equipped with boards and projectors which teachers use in connection with Mics and Speakers. Extra Curricular activites are good, NCC, NSS, PT and Games, Entreprenaur Club, Fine Art Society. Student run Social groups are there Photographic Society, Dance Club, Music Club Dhwani, Firebolt Racing, Team Srijan F1 Racing, Ehsaas for drama, Leo Club.

Hostel Facilities

3

Very mid facilities, A table, a chair, Sheld which is open. Tubelight and a fan thats it. Meal quality is very good for all hostels except H10. There is always a little bit of ups and downs happening, but its good so far. Registration process for hostels are smooth no such issues. People get rent house around 1km from the campus gate called Vastu Vihar(a colony).

Admission

I had NIT Raipur Chemical Engg, rejected it because I didn't like the campus amenities of the same, zero sports facilities, they play Football on a Red Soil literally. I got this in CSAB and hence it was a better ranked college than NITRR, i've heard of people opting a lower preferred branch in BITM over a branch in NITRR such the brand value of the college. I scored pretty avg in JEE 58k rank so wasn't eligible for all the clgs anyhow. Admission process is pretty simple JOSSA and CSAB. Admission experience is obviously good because why would a clg not welcome a laxmi lol jk.

Faculty

4

Faculties are pretty good for the most part. Exceptions are always there in each college but others are pretty chill. ECE Dept are the strictest teachers ngl. 2 Quizes are there and 1 Midsem 1 Endsem so its pretty chill out there with examinations. Quizes are conducted by teacher whenever they wish to so it is flexible. Talking about failing the exams, as i said ECE students fail the most coz their subjects are difficult and profs are also strict which make it hard to even clear makeup exams. Course curriculum is not the very updated thing. AIML branch has the most uptodate course coz it is was introduced 3 years ago from 2022. Rest all branches have pretty old curriculum. Marking system is good, Relative Grading has been applied since 2023, which helps passing subjects.

Night Life

4

Gym is separate for Men and Women. Considering the strength of the students gym is pretty small sized. Cafeterias are there Nescafe, Dominos, HnC, Dhabas, Chaat Gupchup Samosa shops, Sweet shops. Hostel are quite old, they're trying their best to renovate it as much they can but old is old. Campus is safe to roam around during night time for boys, for girls they are restricted to land in their hostels by 9PM strictly.

Placement Experience:

1.The main thing about our campus, campus placements are so good. Branches like CSE & ECE have high placement percentage about 90. 2.From 3rd year students got involved college internships and programmes that allow them to better placements. 3.Top companies like Google,Microsoft,Amazon,Intel,Samsung etc visited our campus. And the highest package of our campus is about 60LPA offered by Amazon. 4.I planned to work after completing my B.Tech.

Placement Experience:

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

Placement Experience:

On-campus placements are provided to pretty much everyone in the college. With one of the highest percentages of students getting placed, yet the average CTC offered is not up to loving standards, a lot of students opt for higher studies and IAS preparation after college.

We had very little companies for placement ibm and hcl came for bpo jobs.. About 80% left with no jobs after completing the session... Very poor placement opportunities. After completing the jobs most of us went to banglore for searching jobs... We had placement if any after completing 8 semesters We had ibm and hcl but they asked for donations before giving jobs. Packages were 3.6 Lakh to 5 Lakh per year. Overall 20% got placement. I prepared for Government exams after completing my degree.
