The JEE Main 2026 registration will be over in 10 days, ending on November 27, 2025. JEE main 2026 Session 1 is scheduled for the last week of January 2026, with Session 2 planned for April. As per the reports, approximately 13.8 lakh students have registered for the JEE Main 2026 application till now, marking an increase of 1.6 lakh registrations compared to the 12.21 lakh students registered last year. 

  • In the initial weeks, the registration pace was slower, with around 5.10 lakh students applying early.
  • It is anticipated that approximately 14–15 lakh candidates will attempt the exam across both sessions.

Last year, a total of 14,75,103 lakh candidates registered for the JEE Main 2025. Among these, 12,58,136 appeared for Session 1 and 9,92,350 for Session 2. 

  • In the JEE Main Session 1, a total of 13,11,544 candidates registered for the Paper 1, while 12,58,136 appeared in the exam. The attendance rate stood at 95.93%
  • For the JEE Main Paper 2, a total of 91,816 candidates had registered, and 62740 of them appeared for the exam. 
  • In 2024, a total of 1,415,110 students had appeared out of the 1,476,557 unique registered in both sessions for paper 1 B.E/ B.Tech. 924,636 registered in both sessions out of which 822,899 appeared.
