Ques. I missed the CUET UG first registration dates, so I am worried if I can still apply for Lakshmibai College admission 2026 through the CUET reopen window or not?

Ans. Yes, admission is still possible if the reopening window is used properly. CUET UG authority reopen form for students who missed earlier dates. After the exam and result, the college does not take direct form, admission happens only throughthe DU CSAS portal. So the CUET score must be valid, and registration must be done correctly, otherwise the seat not be allotted. Many students make mistakes and skip CSAS.

Ques. I want to know whether the CUET PG score alone is enough for PG admission in Lakshmibai College, orif I have to fill extra University of Delhi counselling form also?

Ans. CUET PG score is not enough for admission. Students must appear CUET PG and then compulsorily register on the University of Delhi CSAS PG portal. Students also ask

Ques. I am from a science background, so I want to know if I can apply for BA or BCom courses in Lakshmibai College or not?

Ans. Yes, science students can apply for BA and BCom courses. Subject eligibility depends on the CUET subject combination and DU rules. Maths is helpful for BCom, but not always compulsory. Stream change is allowed in many cases. Many science students take humanities for UPSC or MBA prep. Always check eligibility before filling preference to avoid rejection.

Ques. I want to understand whether Lakshmibai College offer any scholarship or fee concession for economically weak or reserved category students?

Ans. Yes college provide scholarships and fee relaxation as per the University of Delhi and government norms. SC, ST, OBC, and EWS students get benefits if the documents are correct. Some central and state scholarships are also available. Students must apply separately after admission. Colleges do not auto apply scholarship. Delay in form filling causes many students to miss the benefit.

Note: Sometimes DU also conduct extra round or a mop-up round to fill empty seats. These rounds depend on the CUET score or sometimes on Class 12 marks, depending on seat availability and the DU decision.

Students also ask

Ques. I scored low in CUET but belong to the reserved category, so I want to know whether the category cutoff really helps in getting a seat in Lakshmibai College?

Ans. Yes, category cutoff helps, but it does not guarantee a seat always. Cutoff is different for each category and depends on the number of applicants and seat availability. Even with a reservation, the CUET score must reach the minimum eligible range. Many students think very low score also work but that is not true. Preference order and round also matter a lot in the final allotment.

Ques. I want to know if a migration certificate or a gap year affidavit is compulsory during the admission process, or only asked for later after seat confirmation?

Ans. Mostly, these document not required at the first CSAS registration stage. After seat allotment or during physical verification, the college may ask migration certificate if the previous board was not CBSE. A gap year affidavit is only needed if a gap exists and the college asks specifically. Many students panic early, but the document can also be arranged later if time is given.

Students also ask

Ques. I am seeing cutoff increase and decrease across rounds, so I want to know whether the cutoff really drops in later rounds or mostly increases.

Ans. Cutoff does not always drop, many times it increases, also depending on demand. If high scorers withdraw seat then the cutoff may go down. Popular course usually stable or increase. Students wait for the later round, thinking easy entry, but that's risky. Everything depends on seat vacancy, preference change and the DU algorithm, which is not fully predictable.

Ques. I want to know if CUET normalization affect cutoff marks comparison because many student saying raw score and normalised score difference matter lot?

Ans. Yes normalized score matters only, not the raw marks. CUET use normalization because the exam is held in multiple shifts. Some students think the raw score is high, but normalized reduce then cutoff is not clear. Cutoff is always based on normalised marks shown in the scorecard. That's why comparison with a friend can sometimes be confusing, and students panic without understanding the process properly.

Students also ask

Ques. I want to know whether Lakshmibai College placement is only for commerce students or also for arts students who regularly get placement opportunities.

Ans. Placement is open for arts and commerce, but opportunity not equal. Commerce courses usually get more roles like sales, finance, analyst. Arts students also placed, but mostly in content, teaching, research, HR, and edtech roles. Placement cell support, but self effort very important. Skill, internship and communication matter more than the degree name only.

Ques. I want to ask if off-campus placement is more common than on campus in Lakshmibai College, and should students depend fully on college placement?

Ans. Off-campus placement is more common, honestly. On campus, companies are limited and seat also limited. Many students get jobs through LinkedIn, Internshala, referral and personal effort. College placement helps, but does not guarantee a job. Students who wait only for college placement usually disappoint. Extra skills, internships, and networking give better results in the long term.

Lakshmibai College Rankings

In 2025, Lakshmibai College performed best in Arts, ranking 33 (Collegedunia) and 35 (India Today). It was ranked 151–200 overall by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF). Commerce and Science received moderate rankings compared to Arts.

The following table displays the Lakshmibai College Ranking 2025

Ranking Agency Category Rank (2025)
Collegedunia Science 77
Commerce 58
Arts 33
NIRF Overall 151- 200
India Today Science 47
Commerce 42
Arts 35

Students also ask

Ques. I am confused because different ranking agencies show different ranks, so I want to know which ranking really matters during admission or from a career perspective.

Ans. No single ranking fully matters alone. NIRF is mostly used for government reference and broad comparison. Collegedunia and India Today are more student-oriented and stream-specific. Admission to DU does not depend on ranking but on the CUET score. For a career, also skill, college exposure, and subject matter are more important than ranking number only.

Ques. I want to know whether Lakshmibai College's arts ranking advantage actually helps in higher studies admission, like MA or competitive exam preparation?

Ans. Arts ranking give good academic environment and a peer group that helps indirectly. Faculty, seminars and subject depth support MA or exam prep. But admission in MA still depends on the CUET PG score, not the college name. Competitive exam success depends on self-study and coaching, also. Ranking helps exposure, not a selection guarantee.

Ans. Campus is considered safe overall. The entry gate has security guards, and outsiders are not allowed without permission. College timing is mostly during the day hours, so less safety issues. CCTV is also installed in many areas. Girls feel comfortable mostly, but like every public place, students should remain alert. The area around the college is also normal and student-friendly.

Ques. I want to ask if PG and rental rooms are easily available near Lakshmibai College, and what is the average monthly cost for students?

Ans. PG and a rental room are easily available near the college area. Many students stay in shared PG or a flat. Average cost ranges from 8,000 to 15,000 per month depend on room type and food. Walking distance PG cost little higher. Students should visit personally before finalising because online photos sometimes do not match the real condition.

Lakshmibai College FAQs

Ques. I want to know whether attendance is very strict in Lakshmibai College, or if students can manage classes along with coaching or internship.

Ans. An attendance rule exist and minimum attendance is required for the exam form. But in reality, many students manage coaching or an internship with classes. Some department more strict than others. If attendance is very low, then internal marks are affected. Students usually balance by attending important lectures and practicals. Proper planning is needed, problems come during exam time.

Ques. I want to ask whether Lakshmibai College allow students to participate in DU societies and competitions outside the college?

Ans. Yes, students are allowed to participate in inter-college events, DU fest and competitions. College encourages society participation and cultural exposure. Many students represent the college in debate, sports and fest. Permission from the teacher is sometimes required if the event clashes with class. Participation helps in confidence building and CV also, so students actively take part.

Ques. I want to know if Lakshmibai College is good for UPSC, SSC or other government exam preparation along with a regular degree?

Ans. College is a decent option for government exam aspirants. Many students prepare for UPSC, SSC, CUET PG, along with BA courses. Humanities subject helps in syllabus overlap. Time management is important because self study required. The college environment is supportive, but no official coaching. Students usually join nearby coaching or do online prep side by side.

Ques. I want to know whether internal assessment marks play a big role in the final result, or only semester exam marks matter more?

Ans. Internal assessment is very important in the DU system. Assignment, test, presentation and attendance all counted. Even if the exam goes average, good internal can save the grade. Many students ignore internals and regret it later. Teachers are strict about the submission deadline. Regular work reduces pressure during semester end exam. A balance between the exam and the internals is needed.

Ques. I want to ask whether the Lakshmibai College campus life feels boring compared to Miranda House, LSR, or if it is still enjoyable for students?

Ans. Campus life is not boring, but different from the top DU colleges. Societies are active, and events happen regularly. Exposure less than LSR or Miranda, but students enjoy the fest, seminar and daily college life. Friend circle matter more than college tag. If a student is proactive, college life becomes fun. A passive student may feel a slow environment.

There were several colleges like Hindu, Miranda, Kirori Mal etc. which I opted but I kept this college because: It was a women college. My CUET marks were not as good. We gave CUET-UG for getting admissions in DU. The eligibility is intermediate passed. The subjects were physics, maths, Chemistry, General Test and English.

Actually I tried in so many colleges . But I got admission in this college in my first allotment list and I wait for second list but the college was the same. May be I didn't get others college just because of the high demand of my course and also Mark shortage. Admission process of my college is normal as you have to clear entrance and according to your cut off you get colleges and course.

Admission:

I had applied for a number of other colleges, but after the allotment got it into the present one. but I am totally happy here about my course, the co- curricular activities and about the faculties. If I start to compare my college with other colleges, there are a number of places where my college is a bit behind, may be in the case of infrastructure or placements. The main reason I was not able to be of another college was about the marks that I achieved in cuet ug and I guess more preparation was necessary. The admission process was easy, where the admission letter was given along with my marksheet of 12th standard and cuet scores was submitted. I had applied for a number of North campus colleges and I didn't get it into them , the reason is about the marks scored in cuet ug.I didn't get any rejection from any of the college. The eligibility criteria is all about your cuet scores, according to which you get admission into various colleges.

After the result of 12th CUET, i don't know about any colleges even their names i only know the name of LAKSHMIBAI COLLEGE because i am a sports student and i have to continue my sports, so the main reason was for choosing Lbc, was my coach who provide training in Lbc, the process was easy but quite confusing because it was the first time for our batch or we can say that our batch was the experimental batch so risk taken can be dangerous ( that's why we think more than 10 times for taking any decision)
