Course Curriculum Overview

4

The papers offered by political science department are good and enjoy studying them. But the VAC and SEC papers were of no practical usuag. First of all the timetable is not good. However I liked every subject I studied.

Fees and Financial Aid

In all of my three terms, it was around ?13000 per year. There is no such categories as tuition fee, maintenance fee, caution fee etc. It just shows annual fee. The fee structure is same for all categories.

Campus Life

4

Overall the social environment of campus is friendly. It conducts fests, annual functions and seminars which I personally enjoy. Library doesn't have many books and also no proper management. I am a part of peace club and it works towards peace keeping and peace-building small scale projects.

Admission

There were several colleges like Hindu, Miranda, Kirori Mal etc. which I opted but I kept this college because: It was a women college. My CUET marks were not as good. We gave CUET-UG for getting admissions in DU. The eligibility is intermediate passed. The subjects were physics, maths, Chemistry, General Test and English.

Faculty

3

Some faculties are genuine nice to the students and are approachable but some don't even listen to students and when approached for something important, they never shows up despite calling them and searching throughout the campus. Prof. Rashmita Behera- her teaching is effortless and she boosts confidence in us. Dr. Juhi Singh- She is the sweetest person and also cares like a mother. Ankita ma'am - She always pushes me to answer and looks forward to my answers. I don't like Prof. Abhilasha Kunjur as she literally ghosted me for 4 months. It was regarding my re-evaluation application which she didn't help me with. The application needed her signature but she never showed up despite telling her how much important it is. There are two exam at the end of the semester. The exams are moderate. Most students pass but there is one problem with the system that it gives you a (F or ER) even to those individuals who completes all their IA and CA. And we just take rounds of colleges and administration and still our problems don't get resolved.

Night Life

4

There is no night life around college because of its location. Locality seems quite.I have never gone to college after 6pm. However there are many shops around like medical shops, food stalls, cafes and stationary shops.

Other Applied Colleges

Hindu College | Bachelor of Arts [BA] {Hons.} (Political Science)

Through CSAS Round-I, I got Lakshmibai College so I just went for it besides it is a women college so I was fine with it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is rigid, teaching methods are not immersive and are boring. As a humanities student, curriculum is more about knowing different theories and how they are applicable in the contemporary world. Teaching methods should be more immersive.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Not curriculum but i had humanities back then in school and i love political science anyday so i just picked it up. As far as the second point is concerned so political science is all about real world issues. You step out of your home and every action you do is shaped by your political decisions i.e democracy. Improvements could be done in arrangement of syllabus. Frequency and timing is perfect but the difficulty level should be increased.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Was interested in political science, how it affects the life around. Not very well . Mostly theoretical, not very keen on contemporary aspects but does build understanding of ongoing events . More real world examples and less focus on HPT.

The percentage of students getting placement is almost 70 percent. My plans after getting the degree is going for cuet pg to get admission for postgraduation courses in Delhi... particularly JNU
