Remarks

College management lagged behind some of the things, but was very cooperative. Hassle-free payments and submission of exam forms were the best things.

Entrance Preview

I didn't take any exam, the admission was solely based on twelfth grade score.I wanted to started from the scratch, that's why I chose this subject.

4.5

The course structure was having 4 electives at a time. It was having various electives such as Logic, Greek Philosophy, Western Philosophy, Indian Philosophy, Meta Ethics, Epistemology, Feminism, Classical Indian Philosophy, Feminism etc. It was covering overall subject knowledge. Focusing on the early traditions, ethical concern, socio-economic views etc.

Internships Opportunities

No, there was no internship for philosophy students. There were internships for students pursuing other courses.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placement cell was not active then. It pulled off a little bit later.Several companies from telecom industry airline industry etc offered placements to various students. Almost 60% students got placed in companies. The highest bagged package was of 4 lakhs .

4

There were department fests, also annual fests were held.Various trade fairs were held. Also every festival was being celebrated. Various events sports events and were being organised for students. Also, various drill sessions were being organised for students for self defense and other valuable skills.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is quite feasible. For a year the fee for BA courses was 7k per year. Also apart from this an amount of 2k was for the college maintenance was additionally charged annually. That was not expensive at all. For graduation the total fee was 21k. No additional tuition fee was being charged.

There were no scholarships. But students were being given titles and mementos for meritorious performance.

Campus Life

4

Campus life was good, it was a girls' college. There was unity in diversity, there were many girls from different states. Fresher parties, farewell parties and trimester parties were also being organised. No matter the religion of people, everyone was considered equal, on the same platform.

3

There was no hostel facility, The cafeteria was having hygienic food with clean tables. The food menu was having everything ,from a whole meal platter to snacks. Also, there were many food joints in premises. Also, the university area was 20 mins away from the college.

Alumni network was well connected. Seniors were very helpful. They are always willing to help. They will always come up with valuable piece of advice.

Exam Structure

Exam structure was quite easy. Theory carried 70 marks and 30 marks were for assignments, group projects, presentations and class tests. Moreover, there were also excursions. Taking exams drained energy at times. Else everything was chilled out. Theory papers were exhausting because of the blueprint.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities are mainly for commerce stream departments but the humanities stream also are offered internship from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and Home ministry. There are many private companies that come to offer placements. The students from 3rd year in particular apply for internships. The highest package iffered is 500000 and the average is 250000. About 45% students get placements. My plan after getting the degree is to go for higher studies.
