Course Curriculum Overview

3

Was interested in political science, how it affects the life around. Not very well . Mostly theoretical, not very keen on contemporary aspects but does build understanding of ongoing events . More real world examples and less focus on HPT.

Internships Opportunities

2

Don't know much about internship but internships usually from government offices and tribal affairs department. Some students go to NGO , workshops for internships. Some intern in the principal's office.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees has been 10000- 13000 for all three years. The fees for students of economic honours and BCom are higher >20000. Scholarship can be availed by all students. However it seem a little high for students from economically backward classes.

Campus Life

3

Some fests mainly during festival season. Especially like book fairs . Honestly range of books not very good in library. Mostly repetitive. And books not in good condition. Provisions in classroom good. Sports good.

Admission

Applied to mostly all top DU colleges but confirmed admission only in LBC. Could not prepare very well for CUET because of reasons. Admission through CUET , should get good marks for admission. Easier load if you have quota.

Faculty

4

The ratio is good. Sometimes when teachers are less in number temp teachers are hired although they are not very qualified in my opinion. Teachers are wonderful, can approach them for all kinds of issues . Juhi ma'am, Rashmita Ma'am, Preeti Ma'am, Ambuja sir , Anchal ma'am. They teach very well and are understanding of students. Not naming but didn't like some faculty because of their laidback approach. Giving marks to students on the basis of popularity and not merit. One exam per sem , difficulty level is medium.

Night Life

3

I stay near the college. No cafeteria around but one in college. No libraries around. One gym is 650m away from where I live. Parks also . No hangout place as such but students do like to sit near parampara van for food and sunlight. No night life

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is rigid, teaching methods are not immersive and are boring. As a humanities student, curriculum is more about knowing different theories and how they are applicable in the contemporary world. Teaching methods should be more immersive.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Not curriculum but i had humanities back then in school and i love political science anyday so i just picked it up. As far as the second point is concerned so political science is all about real world issues. You step out of your home and every action you do is shaped by your political decisions i.e democracy. Improvements could be done in arrangement of syllabus. Frequency and timing is perfect but the difficulty level should be increased.

From 6th sem students become eligible for placement cells.I have not many ideas about how the placement works in my college, though the average package is between INR 3 LPA to INR 5 LPA. The percentage of students getting placement is almost 70 percent. My plans after getting the degree is going for cuet pg to get admission for postgraduation courses in Delhi... particularly JNU

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is not designed to meet new standards of education as of the world. The curriculum still holds the long theoretical part that are no longer needed for the students. Curriculum should contain more of the real world teaching as well as skill development programs including the regular debates and influential skill training.
