Lakshmibai College Admission Process 2025
Lakshmibai College offers admission to candidates for both UG and PG courses through CUET UG and CUET PG scores. Admissions are confirmed only after the final Payment of the fees. The admission Process is described briefly in the steps below.
Step 1: Registration for the Entrance Exam
Lakshmibai College admission is based on scores obtained in the CUET examination for all UG and PG courses. Candidates must register for the following entrance exam for admission.
Candidates applying for CUET must select Delhi University. While filling out the application form, they must choose the subject for which they have appeared or qualified in the last qualifying examination.
Candidates will require various documents while submitting the CUET application form.
- A scanned copy of the recent passport-sized photograph
- Scanned copy of your signature
- Photo ID proof issued by the government (Aadhar card, PAN card, voter ID, passport, etc.)
- Marksheet of all qualifying exams
- Category certificate (if applicable)
Step 2: Appear for the entrance examination.
Candidates who filled out the application form must appear for the entrance examination as per the schedule. The timetable of when entrance exams are usually conducted is 2 times a year. The entrance exam for CUET UG is conducted in March. The entrance exam for CUET PG is conducted in May.
Step 3: Registration on the DU CSAS Portal and filling of course and college preferences
All candidates who have been successful in the entrance examination are required to register on the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal of the university for the Lakshmibai College seat allotment. Once the registration process is done, candidates will be asked to fill in their college and course preferences.
Step 4: Seat allocation
There will be multiple rounds for seat allocation. Delhi University will release the merit list in categories: the common merit list and the category 2 merit list (for PG courses only). The common list is open for all candidates. However, for the category 2 merit list (C2ML), only students who have graduated from Delhi University will be considered for admission to PG programs. The highest possible preference will be provisionally allocated to a candidate who meets the Lakshmibai College admission criteria, such as
- A combination of selected colleges and courses
- Rank secured in the entrance exam
- Availability of Seats
- Category of candidates
Step 5: Blocking of Seats and Final Admission
Candidates can check the list by logging in to their CSAS dashboard for acceptance of the allocated seat, if offered. Once a seat has been allocated to the Lakshmibai College in a particular round, the candidate must accept the allocated seat before the last date/time in a given period.
- Once the candidate accepts the provisionally allocated seat, the college administration will approve the seat allotment by checking the eligibility and documents uploaded by the candidate.
- Upon approval of the seat allotment by the college, candidates will have to pay the Lakshmibai College admission fee to confirm the seat.
