VENKY AND EXPOSURE

Likes

Everything in the college is so extraordinary
The college canteen is so awesome with various cuisines
The college sport facility is top notch one can develop their skills here

Dislikes

Nothing is bad except the area around the campus has bad drainage system
Waterlogging is common outside the campus
Satyaniketan area is so poor and unhygienic it smells very bad

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is very good one can get a broader and deeper sense in the subject specific course and can go on for masters abroad and can prepare for civil service exams as well the course is without a doubt very good

Venky A Decent College

Likes

Academics- professors are well educated and most of them have phds they make the class interactive and dont make feel anyone less competent
Canteen - the food is super affordable. Best I like is naan thali and chhole bhature
Sports - the sports room is well equipped. The first thing i go for after my classes is playing badminton or basketball

Dislikes

Sewage issue - theres a serious sewage issues just outside the college
Water - water coolers except in the new building are dirty
Classrooms do not have ac which Is a big issue in summers especially in delhi

Placement Experience:

Placement wise my college is good The placement cell works really hard to get the companies to come to our college and also guide the students year along to be the best in the placement process. The big four companies like bcg and ey come to recruit directly Median package I think is around 5lpa Percentage doesn't matter much Even a 6 cgpa student can get better placed than a 8 cgpa student

The crowd that is very amazing I mean the best
The staff the faculty the knowledge they provide us
The placement and internship programs and the opportunities

Dislikes

Canteen time and area and also the extra seriousness
Attendence leniency is just 0 which is very bad
The college societies could be just more better

Placement Experience:

Employment through facilities of societies and cultural programs and the business opportunities are also very good in our college. After graduation internships are provided and also full time salary like 30-50k pm which is very good for a graduated student and we also are grateful to get that like

About my college

Likes

Sri Venkateshwara college is very peaceful as compare to other colleges. I have never seen a fight and argument in my college.
There is a diversity in my college. People from different regions are given importance and equally treated regardless of their religion, sex, race etc.
Venky is so beautiful and neat and clean as compare to other colleges. The classes are too good.

Dislikes

There is no auditorium in my college. Our head says that it is being renovated but it is not.
The road in-front of Venky’s main gate is too dirty.
Venky’s food is not that much good , I think it is overhyped.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I opted for BA programme (History + Political science). I chose this because I wanna crack UPSC and I thought this combination would be best. The curriculum is good but I think there should be exercises and practicals in this for exposure.

The best thing in my college is Socities.We can join according to our interest
Sri Venkateswara collge Provides a good environment for Sports especially for Cricket and the environment in the College is very Pleasant when compared to Delhi pollution
When coming about education,we have a experienced Professors who shares a good knowledge from their excellence

Dislikes

The things I disliked of my college is, it is over crowdy and the food and canteen facillities was not good and not well maintained
And coming to College Politics ,it all runs by caste and regions like north south .they I'll show a clear difference about the region this is the main thing I disliked Staff was good I'm talking about the students
Coming to facilities of my college was Auditorium was not in a good condition and still it is in renovation .But the library Facillities was too good to study .But the Rooms where classes happens were too conjusted these are the things that don't lik

Placement Experience:

For Placements 5th semester students were eligible .They will attend for the interviews in college itself,but they will join the job after the completion of 6th semester who got selected in the interviews.I don't have particular idea about the No.of offers made but nearly 80 companies were offered the jobs like Deloitte ,KPMG etc...The highest package of my college was nearly 22 lakhs per annum which got in 2022.and the avarage package was nearly 4lakhs per annum .I don't have idea about the percentage of the students who got job in campus placements.My plans were recently I enrolled in PG ,And I will preapare for my future Competitive exams

Review for studying BA English Hons. at Sri Venkateswara College, University of Delhi

Likes

The professors we have are very good. They teach in depth.
I like the greenery of the campus. It is a great place for dog lovers.
The college societies are good. I loved being a part of Wdc, empathise and debsoc.

Dislikes

The admin is not very helping and you've to run after them for work
The main building is inaccessible for disabled people due to absence of elevator and ramps

Placement Experience:

The placement cell works well. I didn't want to do a job after Bachelor's so I didn't sit for placements. My batchmates who were interested were placed in ecom express, deloitte and so on. They guide you with cv, interview in the last semester.

Sri Venkateshwar college: Why not to choose

Likes

Infrastructure is good among the nearby DU colleges
As far as administration is considered it could be better
Faculty are reachable and helpful , they always ready for help

Dislikes

Administration sucks , poor management and Governance

Placement Experience:

Campus placement starts after their 3rd semester Various companies visit campus Very few students got placement like 15-20% Plans after getting degree are further continuing studies tried for masters in the same course in academic

Life in venky

Likes

I really liked the crowd over here the people are very good
The main thing about a college is it's club and Venky has very good societies and clubs
The faculty and helping staff is very good

Dislikes

The canteen is subsidized but the quality is not that good
There is sewer leakage right infront of the main gate from a very long time

Course Curriculum Overview:

Currently I am enrolled in Ba programme economics and English with economics as major and English as minor.the subject and curriculum is very well crafted and devised to give students exposure to real life problems as well as theoretical knowledge.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I'm a student of Bachalor of arts with Economics as major and English as a Minor, I feel the curriculum is very good of economics as it can applied in different courses and is also relatable. Area of improvement would be unnecessary additional of language subjects like Hindi and English as it takes doesn't add any value better they should add research projects for credit. End semester Exams are conducted twice a year and their difficulty level is moderate

My cousin was a student of Mathematics at Sri Venkateswara College. Based on her experience in the same I will list down some key features of the college:

Faculty- The faculty of this college is without that the best. The professors of Mathematics and even other courses will make you fall in love with the subject. Just stay committed to your course.
Infrastructure- Since you will spend a few years in college, infrastructure matters a lot. Classrooms are well-designed and laboratories are well-equipped. Hostel accommodation is provided for the topper of each course. A new science block is being constructed to add to its infrastructure.
Extracurricular activities- If you are a student here, you will get enough exposure to develop your personality. Apart from academics, this college has a list of glamour studded societies in every field.
Placements- The science students get lesser opportunities as compared to others. A package of around 5-6 LPA is offered to Economic students.
Nexus- This is the most awaited cultural fest of the college. It’s a 3-day fest with a list of versatile activities. It’s the most glamorous event in the college.
Sports- The college has a lush green field with a modern cricket pitch. It also has teams in almost every game like Cricket, Football, Badminton, Basketball, Volleyball, Tennis, Chess, Athletics, Squash.
