Course Curriculum Overview

5

It is very relevant and important. You'll not just study British canonical literature but world literatures too. You can choose literature and cinema too which is a very contemporary topic. The readings are dense in literature so one who doesn't like to read shouldn't go with it.

Internships Opportunities

4

Our college provides us with SRIVIPRA every summer. It is a research internship wherein you choose your mentor and topic and write a research paper. It last for 3 months and if you choose a good mentor, they will guide you very well. We are also provided with other internship opportunities like Vice Chancellor's internship scheme and others.

Placement Experience

4

The placement cell works well. I didn't want to do a job after Bachelor's so I didn't sit for placements. My batchmates who were interested were placed in ecom express, deloitte and so on. They guide you with cv, interview in the last semester.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

I pursued my Bachelor's with honors in English literature. The fees increases from 14,000 in first year to 18000 in final year. The teachers were very good and understanding. They taught us excellently and helped us grow. There are many clubs and societies and joining them will definitely help you. Infrastructure could be better but considering it is a government college, it is decent. The college has a placement cell where you can join for internships and placements.

Campus Life

4.5

College life at Venky is lively if you make the most of it. The annual fest- Nexus is organised with fervour. We had Mohit Chauhan as the artist for the year 2023-24. The other college societies like leonci, nrityangana, verve are good as well.

Admission

I opted for Sri Venkateswara College over north campus colleges because of the nirf ranking and naac grade. Besides, I had heard about the faculty being really good for English literature. Glad to say that I took the correct decision.

Faculty

5

We had six semesters. We studied two core papers in the year, one compulsory aecc and one elective. For the second year, we studied three core papers and one elective. For the final year, we studied two core papers and two electives from our own course. We were the last pre-nep batch so we had 75 written and 25 internals.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The IGNOU course curriculum is comprehensive and relevant, especially for distance and open learning. Studying with IGNOU course can help in clearing your basics as well as detailed understanding of the topics. It is useful in preperation of government exams as well. The exams are conducted each year or every 6 months for different types of courses so the time to study and prepare is enough.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like my course because from the beginning I had to study Political Science under Bachelor of Arts. Also, this course is taught very well in the college but if some changes are made in it like language and selection of the right professor then it will be even better. Also, the exams in the college are held on time but the difficulty level is also different.
