Maharaja Agrasen College (MAC) is a government constituent college of Delhi University was established in 1954. It has been ranked 37 by the IIRF college ranking list for 2025 in the Journalism Category. It is accredited with a grade of ‘A’ by the NAAC and is also recognised by the UGC. Maharaja Agrasen College offers more than 15 courses at the UG level in the streams of science, commerce and humanities.

The college’s popular courses include BA (Hons) and B.Com (Hons). Admission into the UG program is now carried out through the Common University Entrance Test (CUET), which is then followed by the DU CSAS process. MAC also has numerous facilities on campus for students. It has a hostel for girls with a capacity of 58 students. The genuine one

Likes

Infrastructure and professors ,they all are very impressive.
Staffs and admin of the college are very friendly.
Auditorium, library and sports facilities as well

Dislikes

Location of the college is very disappointing. You have to travel even after metro.
No hostel for boys which is bit disappointing
You cannot expect a good package from the college training and placement cell so you have to work hard to achieve your dream package and job.

Student view on course curriculum and exams

B.com honours course from maharaja Agrasen is well recognised course and also well known for its BCom honours course only and second it is offer journalism honours. The faculty of BCom honours are highly experienced and well educated they all give you a very good teaching experience all the faculty are very lovely and they always appreciate student except one or two teachers. SVR intoled in new education policy this will make quite burden on students as the semester exam are very near after joining the college within 4 hours 3 ones and you have to prepare a very big chapters for exams. The improvement I will suggest that must be in the account faculty and management faculty because account faculty is taking much more lives and not focused on students. The difficulty level is not too much because if you just pursing b.com honours then you don't have much worry about your course completion.

Yearly fees structure and scholarship

The fees structure which you are paying in maharaja Agrasen for b.com honours course is around 17000 per year and also have to pay examination fees of rupees around 1500 according to your subject. You have also a option for scholarship which can be in from Delhi University itself and also from other source such as Reliance foundation and other and under Delhi University scholarship you will get recover your college fees. Also I pray for this college because you have a very good infrastructure and also a very good faculty.

Campus Life, sports and various Facilities

After joining the college when first time I was post to society and club involvement society involvement then it was very good experience for me I got the lovely exposure from my seniors they organised an interview the organize group discussion they organised personal interview and very interesting things which usually enhance one introvert kind of guys personality. While selection in the sports team all the teams such as cricket team kabaddi team 14 volleyball team and many others they all held at trial where they select the new freshers and their is it no any kind of superlarity in anyone of them you have to perform there for the selection.q One of our senior who was running WhatsApp group and social media and is also an entrepreneur and we are very excited to learn from him actually he will Siddharth.

Student views on the faculty and labs

Overall faculty is very good and impressive especially business law faculty is very appreciating and accounts is not up to the mark they take very absence in the college and from MPA you cannot expect much good professors they are just for timepass and all other practical subject art also to good. The practical subject is very good and you will get all the practicals on the time and there is no limitation for that you have to wait for it just very good college. You will have all access to the computer labs and ICT labs and also the biology and physics lab which is there is your subject according to you. Professor always praise you for the upcoming hurdles.

I choose this college because of their infrastructure for it is very good and high the facilities you get from library and other admins is very high quality. According to my marks in purity the college which I called his really lovely I love this college. All seniors are very supportive they don't do ragging. Expecting south campus college but when I eat visited the college then accept the location I love the college very much and the selection of this college in my first allocation I just love that.

Night Life

Usually there is no such hangout place around our college accept one Raj group commerce rajguru college that is also a woman college and we cannot get entry that college so the really hangout place around us is cafeteria and also a small market around there where he is very you get yummy food and also parathe wala where we really enjoy the all kind of parathe and also there is a place Noida sector 16 17 where you can go for Hangout. Overall in terms of hangout places there is no such hangout place so you can been the college with your friends and enjoy their friends.

Social interaction is as per the individual. How much is he/she able to extract from people is the main thing. If you're able to make enough connections it's great.
Infrastructure is better than even some of the North Campus du colleges. It is too good. Feels like second home. Most of the resources are available.

Dislikes

There isn't much exposure to the main Delhi crowd.
The college is located in East Delhi that is too far away from the main Delhi.

Admission:

I chose this college based on infrastructure as there wasn't much information available about this college online. Alsoz on the du official website, this college is mentioned as North campus which was a confusion for me at that time as I thought it was true but it wasn't as this is an off campus college of Delhi University. The admissions in the whole of University of Delhi is based on CUET scores. The preferences need to be filled by the students and then he/she is allotted the college according to the cit off and the scores. The subjects that need to be taken in cuet should be the same as in 12th boards. For humanities/arts courses the scores are out of 800. So, for arts courses the normal cit off for general category students are around 650, for obc students around 500 and for sc/st is much lower.

MAC is marvellous college!!

I applied through CUET as that's the way out for DU and I wanted ST Stephen's but it is a top college and probably the 3rd best college of DU. However at MAC cutoffs are reasonable and plus they are the ones who offers this course, so I joined MAC.

Same as CUET as all the colleges listed under DU has the same process. Its not that 12th percentage are ignored they too are calculated but ultimately the winner is CUET. Definitely MAC was not the first choice as it was the Hindu College but never mind MAC was good too.

In our college , they are different department and they organise their personalised fests .This help student learn so much more and help them make interactions with different people which are expert in their field.
Our college is very disciplined. And the environment of the college is very nice . Infrastructure is very new and fresh and modern. The college' campus is very clean and there is a garden with lots of flower where students can sit in their breaks.

Dislikes

The infrastructure is very new ,fresh and modern but the maintainence is not looked after. Which makes the campus looks sometimes messy. Sometimes the washrooms are not clean at all. And there is not a pad vending machine for girls in the washroom.
Guards are sometimes rude and impolite with their way of talking. And is not cooperative at all. If you forget your college I'd you cannot enter the college and there is no way you can convience them to let you enter with a digital id..

Admission:

I have given cuet and applied for 50+ college of Delhi University. Which included bachelor in mathematics, bachelors in mathematical sciences and bachelors in biodata and bachelors in botany and bachelors in zoology and many more. And based on the preference list of colleges I got into maharaja agarsen college of Delhi University in the course of bachelor of science ( mathematical science). I choose to proceed with this course as it included all the subject I needed to study and wanted in future. yes , i got rejection from dipsaar college . I applied for bpharma there. But due to my low score i couldn't secure a seat their. Their cutoff was pretty high and I couldn't reach their cut off . The cutoff wa totally based on the result of 12th class. For admission , firstly I filled an admission form online and submit all the official documents online such as birth certificate, addhar card, results of 12th and 10th class and also character certificate. And then I paid the fee online only. Also with the fees I didn't have to pay any additional protection fee. Then we had to visit the college for Orientation day . We were invited through a mail. In the orientation we were given the information about our course ,teachers and classes . Also we were given refreshments . And the addmission process was smooth not at all difficult. I got in the college with 70 percent on my cuet score. And you have to be from science or commerce background also you must have maths in your subjects to apply for this course otherwise you will not be shortlisted for the same.

Earlier I got admission in Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar college university of Delhi but Then I got this one in second round of admission. And I choose this one because of it's fee structure that is less compared to others. And for the admission you have to appear in common university entrance test (CUET) conducted by NTA then you have to apply for the admission through Delhi University's counselling process which is common seat allocation system CSAS then according to your score and college preference you'll get your admission.

I applied for many colleges such as Hindu College , Hansraj College, St. Stephens College , Dyal Singh College but unfortunately I got 663 marks out of 800 marks . In first round of allocation of DU. I got BA(Honours) Hindi in Hansraj College. Then I opted for Upgrade and I got BA(Honours) Political Science in Maharaja Agarasen College . Admission process is very smooth and online without any corruption

Maharaja Agrasen College admission to the available courses is offered based on scores in the CUET UG exam. Interested candidates must register and appear for the accepted entrance examinations by the college. When the merit list is released, candidates must log in to check their CSAS dashboard to see if any seat has been allocated. If the candidate has been allotted a seat at Maharaja Agrasen College in any particular round, the candidate must 'Accept' the seat before the last date specified by the university. Failing this, the seat allocated will be reported as vacant for the next round and the allocation can change accordingly.

Once the provisionally allocated seat is accepted, the college administration will approve the seat allotment by verifying the eligibility and documents uploaded by the candidate.
After the approval from the college, candidates must pay the Maharaja Agrasen College admission fees for their chosen course to confirm their seats.
