The faculty which is very helpful, kind , sweet and supporting
There are numbers of scholarship opportunities available for students .these scholarships recognised merit and talent for students .fee concession students in need of financial assistance may apply on the prescribed form available at the office.next one is student aid fund
Placements of the college is very good many top companies visit the campus for placements.

Dislikes

Class size was 55 which kind of made it difficult for teachers to provide individual attention. Students who opted for language hindi were more at loss as the reading material was a little difficult to access.
Thing I didn't like was the busy and hectic schedule. It restricted our participation in various other extra curricular activities and restricted us mostly to our course structure only
The campus being in South Delhi and no other college near it, sometimes feels isolated. There is no inter college connectivity.

How's life at LSR?

Likes

The campus is excellent especially the lawns , the front lawn and the back lawn are really so peaceful that you can spend your whole day sitting there admiring the natural beauty.
The faculty is also well qualified and would help you with each and every minor problems. Even the seniors are so friendly and cooperative they help us in everything from academics to what societies we should go for.
The Nescafe and cafe(canteen) also provide us with better quality food which is lifesaver for pg students. College also calls big companies for placements.

Dislikes

The old building sucks in summers as it was built a long time ago and thus fans do not function properly.
There isn't proper ventilation inthe old building and the wifi doesn't works in new building.
There's no AC in the Auditorium,which was quite shocking at first. And it becomes almost impossible to sit in the Auditorium during summers.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements in there final year or sixth semester. A lot of big companies visit the college for placements. The Economics Hons department and Bcom Hons department get the highest placements.

Life at LSR

Campus is aesthetically pleasing, it's very beautiful.
The faculty is from diverse backgrounds and highly experienced.
Ensures safety of students within the campus efficiently

Dislikes

The are outside the campus is unsafe, actions are needed to be taken.
There is poor infrastructure, needs improvement
The environment is academic oriented, which creates pressure to excel in everything

Students from 5th semester or third year are eligible for campus placements here. Various companies which visited here are Google, Paypal, Amazon, Deloite, etc. Average package is from 10lakhs to 12 lakhs. On an average 60-70% students get placements.

college provide free internships. laptops are provided
student union is very good. seniors are supportive
professor are too good specially from mathematics department

Dislikes

women safety is not their priority. too much greenery in summers there are so many insects there
someone tried to kidnap a student in front of main gate. a guy masturbates on the way to college and no action has taken

bsc mathematics is a tough course if you love maths you can go for it it is very theoretical not problem solving. it increases the learning power and ability to learn.bsc mathematics provides many job opportunities like if you want to be maths teacher or if you want to be a scientist or a mathematician

Life at lady Shri ram College for women

For me the thing I like the most about LSR is its beauty. Its very beautiful, green and clean and do wins green cup ever year.
The placement and intership opportunities at LSR are excellent.
Teachers at LSR are very experienced and considerate. They listen our problems and their teaching method is great as well.

Dislikes

Being a girls college it's safe but sometimes it feels like it lacks the fun of the co-ed colleges.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell at college is actually great. Big companies come to college with great packages. Although it also depends on course to course. Every company has its own eligibility. Companies like Accenture, HUl, Barclays and many more have come to LSR.

The Magic of LSR

The best thing of LSR is its crowd like the students here are the top rankers of their school or state. So you get to study among the top rankers and intelligent people.
The seniors at LSR are the best like they help their juniors from the basic and solve their minor doubts also. The relationship between senior and junior is best and very friendly yet helpful.
I personally like the celebrations here which are enjoyed the the whole student community. Also the fests and events are among the best of the whole Delhi University.

Dislikes

I think LSR is more academic oriented which creates a kind of pressure between the students to excel in studies
There are lot of assignments and presentations that we have to make but I believe every college has this thing so can't blame only LSR
I think if college would provide more co curricular activities to the students then it's best. Although we have most of the activities but who doesn't want more activities.

In my college the student of semester 5 or basically the third year students are applicable for the campus placements. There are very famous companies that visited my college including Google, PayPal, Amazon, and the big for companies including deloite , EY etc. The highest package of the last year was of 45 lakhs which was given to a student of economics honours. And also the major placements of students are from the courses in like BCom honours, economic honours, English honours. the average package of last year was 10 lakhs to 12 lacs. Basically the rest of the student sit for placement and among them 60% of students get placed.

LSR offers most lavish education!!

The best part is that every teacher here is very easy approachable and they are the ones who pushes or motivates us to engage with college activities like discussion and debates.
For somebody who wants to be a political pandit, i think theres no better place than studying at LSR, even those who has 0 knowledge in politics will leave LSR become a political need.
Students who studies here are not just from Delhi but from various diverse communities and backgrounds and cultures and that add to enrich life at LSR.

Dislikes

There are literally so many activities that we often gets spoilt for choices and lose focus in one area where we actually intend to grow.

P&G to HUL, I don't know why people are obsessed with IT names but the ones where I feel our xours students can contribute is the FMCG sector and luckily we have enough FMCG companies that holds interviews and hired students with a salary of 50 thousand or more a month.

Campus life in lsr

Its all girls college and every single girl is confident and bold and teach yoj something good
You get chance to do whatever you want and there is no gender bias.
Its infrastructure and campus is marvelous.

Dislikes

Not anything to dislike but yes i think hostel should be renovated as soon as possible.

Placement Experience:

Lsr offers placements in top companies of India. Many prestigious companies come to lsr and offers good packages too so placement is not something to concern about if you are preparing for it honestly.

Always in awe and Beauty of LSR tbh it's so peaceful here feels beautiful and give a good positive energy whenever I enter the college i feel good.
The people are amazing so intelligent and humble. Everyone is doing something and had done something or other it gives you so much motivation that you are surrounded by such great seniors and friends!
The society culture in all over I will say du too and yes it shapes you very well it feels amazing to learn how to talk to people and get the work done!

Dislikes

I have to sayy LSR is strict about attendance and that is very irritating
You are not going to understand everything professor teach in class you have to take time and do some efforts but I have for stats LSR has some good professors for sure!
LSR alwaysssss focus on studies more and that's why we have timing after college for societies like dramsoc and dancesoc !

Course Curriculum Overview:

I feel the curriculum is mostly based on theoretical not on practical aspects of statistics till now! So I feel that needs to be improved for sure. For practical aspects do case studies, learn sql, python for data analyst apart from college. Exams are not tough but not that easy too just study previous year questions and watch videos on youtube about the topics coming in exam.

The Magic of LSR

The overall environment of the college is quite inclusive. It caters to the needs and requirements of students coming from varying backgrounds, be it North eastern states or someone who is differently abled.
The society culture is quite impressive at the same time rigorous. It takes a lot of efforts to get into the societies as you face tough competition from your peers even after entering the college. This engrains a hustle culture within every student.
When it comes to LSR, how can i not mention about its green Lush lawns and gardens. The beautiful campus is surrounded by eye catching flowers, plants that fills the day with joy and laughter along with the scenic beauty.

Dislikes

I would bar myself from stating that i disliked certain things about LSR, but rather i wish could be better to make campus life more worthwhile. Firstly it would be extremely high competitive environment which tend to create more pressure.
Another aspect would be the lack of sufficient infrastructure facilities. There is lack of facilities in terms of capacity to hold the number of intakes in a class which creates issues.
The campus is isolated to a great extent not only in terms of distance but also exchange of students and opinions with most of the colleges within DU ambit. This at times bring a sense of exclusion and isolation.

Placement Experience:

The palcement packages that LSR offers are amongst the highest within the DU circuit. The final year students are eligible for college placements which takes palce through a dedicated Placement cell. Most of the students mainly from courses like Economics, Commerce, Statistics, Mathematics sit fro placements. However none is exempted from applying to the placements.

LSR, english in a nutshell.

Likes

I really liked the environment, it's friendly and welcoming.
I liked the animal care system in the college as the campus animals are well kept and cared for.
The faculty of english hons is quite good and encouraging.

Dislikes

A few courses have bad and sometimes abusive faculty
The fests are conducted on a very small level and often students from other colleges are not allowed.
I really think that the college washrooms should and could be improved.

Placement Experience:

I think the placement is a bit iffy. It mostly depends on the course you're pursuing. If it isn't economics or commerce related then the chances of getting the placement is quite low. And if you do get a placement it might not be as well paying as the commerce ones.
