Hansraj College:My experience

Likes

The environment of college is one thing i really liked
the teachers from my first year were very helpful with everything
The exposure i got in my first year was immense for my growth

Dislikes

the infrastructure and the staffs barely helped
the principal being very strict really damaged the experience
the library is barely usable and plus the principal made it a place where we cant even use our electronics

Placement Experience:

After your third year students become eligible for campus placements..There are many companies who visited and have shown interest in our students such as google,microsoft,SBI and many more..The packages offered are very confidential but the percentage of students getting placements are higher than average even im planning to get placements after getting my degree from this college

Hansraj College has all the basic infrastructure like labs, Auditorium, Seminar halls, stationary, cafeteria, wide wifi enabled library, ATM, also have a huge parking area, sports ground etc.
Our college has very good faculties and good placement records for various industry oriented courses such as Computer science, Electronics, Physics etc.
Hansraj College has many great societies in which you can work as per your interest. Also our college has a numerous well known alumnus who have given rich contribution to our nation.

Dislikes

I have felt sometimes our college is over crowded.

Placement Experience:

Geology course doesn't produce any campus placement just after UG since it is a field which needs in deep knowledge. But, Hansraj College make you apt for competitive exams after Undergraduation also the atmosphere here help you to prepare for Entrance exams for further education in best Universities. Also scoring very good marks make you offerable for various scholarships from top institution from all over the world since University of Delhi and Hansraj College are globally recognised. My current plan is to do an MBA or PG Diploma in Management (especially in the field of Environment, Forestry or Travel and Tourism).

Hansraj College is North Campus heartthrob as the campus is always full of energy and life.
From political backgrounds to art, a lot of renowned names have passed out from our college.
Our campus is bigger than many DU colleges.

Dislikes

Too much pressure as managing society work and academics becomes way too much consuming.

Placement Experience:

Hansraj College's active placements cell is managing both intenrships and placements. Mind you both are great as our college is known for giving students the core placements and therefore Mathematics Hons students are placed in companies where they can make the best use of their abilities and also in the role they are best suited.

HRC is of highest regard!!

Likes

Bollywood celebs like Anurag Kashyap and the King Khan, Shahrukh Khan were alumni of our college.
It's one of the oldest colleges of DU and thus have a special charm attached to it.
HRC is one of the top colleges of DU North Campus.

Dislikes

Classrooms are small and strength is high so classrooms become quite congested.

From Boston Consulting Group to Acer and many other consulting firms as we can best serve as Consultants. Junior reoles with a salary of 5 lakhs an annum is what we were offered and mostly in top consultancy firms is where students of HRC are placed.

Honest review of Hansraj college

Likes

AC in each classroom . That is not in every college of delhi university.
Hansraj college has excellent sports facilities, including a large sports field, an indoor sports complex.
Good aluminai network ex shah rukh khan, naveen jindal

Dislikes

Same students despite good in academic found lack of internship opportunities
lack of freedom due to strict guidelines and attendance policies,
Small campus size and also classroom size is not so large

Course Curriculum Overview:

I opt this course (Bsc hons chemistry) because it is easy as compared to others like physics or maths . The teaching method of allmost all the teachers is good . The frequency and timings of the exams acc to me is not so bad there is enough time to attempt all the questions in the exam.

My College Life at Hansraj College

Likes

College environment was really positive and jolly and it's really happening as well. College used to seem crowded only most of the days.
Teachers were good as well. They were friendly and ready to help
Canteen used to be one of the best parts of the college. Very affordable, clean and good quality food is served there

Dislikes

The College management basically the principal authority was a bit orthodox and against western culture
There was a cleanliness issue with male washrooms

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course that i had opt for is one of the best courses available at the college itself It brings more experience and lessons for the science students and provides them with right learnings and practicals to be better in their area and to have the right knowledge These teachings were very elaborated and explained thoroughly. And the difficulty level of exams used to be somewhere between mid to a bit hard level.

Unfiltered College Life

Likes

College campus is well structured and the social interaction is well.
Mentorship is the very best and societies work is for Appreciated.
Faculty also so good and calm. placement service almost good and have got NAAC 2+ grade this college.

Dislikes

Gradually increasing fees structure. There will no any reason behind this.
Campus amentituies have some issues like poor wifi connection.
There is no more any things which i dislike.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement begin from the 7th semester during Msc or Phds. Top relevant companies visit the campus for hiring. Product based companies like Abode and Byjus also hire selectively.The highest package offered last year was 10LPA. Around 80-90% of eligible students were appear for placements.

The exposure I get here is really fabulous. Extra curricular is a add on at everything, Gaining my best college life experiences.
The placements for almost every course is really good and best facilities are available at college either you are a student or faculty.
College infrastructure is the best I would say, as one of the best college of Delhi University. The faculty's expertise are really good and their teaching skill is really amazing.

Dislikes

No one cares about your individual personal or professional growth. Some teachers forces you to study as they have done with being quiet.
New education policy is wasting our time somewhere because those extra subject are just good for nothing.
There is no accuracy of you being good at that perticular subject because every semester your topics just get changed and you have only 3 months for that whole subject and due to exam fear I just mug up the things.

Placement Experience:

After fifth semester students are eligible for campus placements. Over 280 offers were made in last placement session by such great companies like Bain and company, Deloitte and United airlines. Highest package was 2300000 and average was 700000. There is no specific percentage but very high as over 215 students got placement in session 2021-22. My plans after graduation is pursuing post graduation with some extra coaching for my civil services preparation.

If you want great social life and good future opportunites, go for Hansraj College

Likes

The college environment was great. There were events happening almost every day.
Plenty of options for food and entertainment in and around the campus.
We got new labs with great infrastructure which really helped in the learning experience.

Dislikes

The administration was very reluctant to approve events and provide space to conduct them.
The canteen was closed for a long time which meant that students were not able to access affordable food.
Some faculty members were not upto the mark and classes were boring.

Placement Experience:

Placements start from the 5th Semester and you can apply for them till one year after your graduation. A lot of companies belonging to different tiers visited the campus for placements and made a good number of offers. Students who were serious about getting placements got at least one offer. Highest package was 21 LPA offered by DE Shaw. Average was around 5-6 LPA.

The faculty here is very experienced and have great achievements in their respective fields.
The exposure of societies and the alumni network is unachievable
Infrasturcture is very good as conoared ti other colleges of university of delhi

Dislikes

Facilities realted to sports can discourage .
There are too many pokitical activities involved in day to day college.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements generally admfter 5 semester. Some beacme eligible after 4 also. The placements process starts in the 5 semester itself. The highest package in 2023 was 34 lakhs per annum.

One of my friends graduated with a B.A Economics (H) from Hansraj last year. So, I think I can answer your question.

Here are some of the best things about the institute.

This college has an ‘old world’ feel. The infrastructure of the college is great.
The fee structure is affordable as compared to other private colleges.
It has some incredible graduates, including Shahrukh Khan, Ranvijay, and Anurag Kashyap. The list is really long.
Amazing crowd, the individuals here are both fun and hardworking at the same time. Admission is based on merit in qualifying examinations.
Some of our professors are truly amazing, you will not find such professors at other colleges, even SRCC.
There are many societies to explore like dramatics, photography society, and fine arts society, etc.
The hostel was my friend’s home for three years, and there is simply no better place to stay when studying at Hansraj. However, it doesn’t have a girls’ hostel.
North Campus has the best college location.

You will not regret choosing the institute.
