Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum of B.sc Mathematics (H) at Hansraj college is one of the prinary reasons I chose this course. The sturcture is thoughtfully designed covering both foundational and advanced topic in mathematics. The inclusive of elective papers like mathematical modelling and programming makes the course versatile. The balanace between theoritical and practical application is instrumental in preparing students for diverse career paths. Regarding exams their frequency is manageable conducted in two session per year. The difficulty level is moderate. However a better balance between theoritical and practical questions would make assessments more comprehensive.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for campus placements generally admfter 5 semester. Some beacme eligible after 4 also. The placements process starts in the 5 semester itself. The highest package in 2023 was 34 lakhs per annum.
Fees and Financial Aid
The academic fees reamins same for all the categories except physically disabled. Th college also provide scholarships on the basis of income of the family. Also student can reach to govt scholarships.
Campus Life
The student unoin of the college conducts an annual fest every year in the college campus and also freshers and farewell for the students. There are several socities in the college which organis3s day to day programmes in the college campus relating to diffenret fields. Many extraordinary speaker sessiona have been organised on a regular basis. Sports facikities are not that satisfactory. Tehre is no option for cricket and swimming. The political organisations are proactive in the campus
Hostel Facilities
The hostel includes a very less number of seats around 200. The qualtiy of meal is good enough and I will rate it at 4out of 5. The student has to apply for hostel after the admission and then list of hostel came out on the basis of merit of the student. The hostel is affordabel and also in college campus.
Admission
I have applied into Sri Ram college of Commerce as I am from Commerec background. But did not get selected as I could not clear the cutoff. The cutoff for Bcom In SRCC at that time was 781 out of 800 in general category. I got admission into Bsc mathematics hons in hansraj college at 699 out of 800 in general category. For taking admission you have to go through process of passing CUET UG examination conducted every year .
Faculty
Faculty to student ratio is good enough of around 1:200 students. There are around 250 membaers in the faculty of college all having respective degrees like P.Hd and very experienced and supporting. The university condicts exams on the basis of semester in which you have to alteast get 4 cgpa to pass.
Night Life
Tha hostel is extraordinary in its own sense having a beautiful infrastructure and siiroundings and most probably the food is too good in the name of hostel. Closing rmtime is 10.30 pm The palces to hangout include kamla nehru ridge, vc lawm near arts facukty and the kamla nagar market.
