IIT Kharagpur Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

The placements are quite good in the Campus.The students are eligible for placements at the end of 3rd year if they are from B.Tech .They are many top recruiters for the college like Apple,Airbus , Lenovo , Microsoft, Google ,Aditya Birla group etc..

IIT Kharagpur's placement record is commendable. Students become eligible for campus placements from the sixth semester onwards. Renowned companies like Google, Microsoft, and Goldman Sachs visit the campus, offering a plethora of roles across domains. The highest package offered is INR 4 crores per annum, with an average package around INR 20 lakhs per annum. The placement percentage is typically high, with a significant portion of students securing job offers. For those not opting for campus placements, various avenues exist post-graduation. Many pursue higher studies, while others venture into entrepreneurship or seek employment through off-campus channels. Personally, I plan to explore opportunities in my field of interest, possibly aiming for higher studies or industry roles aligned with my career aspirations.

From 3rd semester students are eligible for placements. And from. 1st semester students are eligible for paid internship. There top international marketing companies like google, Amazon, camjimney, Flipkart, siemens, apple and many more. 100% Students get very high package and 50% gets package about crore.

Campus placements do happen at full throttle every year. We do have a body called career development centre to ensure every pass out student gets placed. Many topics companies in every field visit the campus every year that too with a median package of 20 lakh per annum.

M.Sc from IIT is very good opportunity for good chance to interact with County's best faculty and best lab for different fields like physics lab chemistry etc. So it's very good for students who want to make his career in research.and the faculty: students ratio is 1:60. And there will mid sem and endsem exam conduct every semester and marking is relatively. So it's good.

Course curriculum is amazing.And the faculty is very knowledgable (Classic IIT Professor). Most of the faculty are the top most professors and researchers of the country. They are amazing proffesors and generally very friendly with students (expect 1 or 2).

Cse dual degree course is in some of the iits. The teachers are mostly highly qualified but in the 1st year many teachers are into reasearch side rather than teaching side so they don't make students feel interested in class.u can do anything in classes the professor doesn't care. I have completed one sem heree and I got a gpa of 8.25.

Placement of our college is very nice. We have highest package of 4 crore last year. And currently of this year highest package is 1.8 crore LPA. In our college more than 400+ companies comes to our college for hiring students.

I think best future of this course,now a day we use alot of electronic devices, without any electronic devices we can't do anything,so am also interested in electronics and this branch has well future and get good package

My course is BS Exploration Geophysics, 4 years and I did not exactly choose this course, I got it based on my rank in JEE Advanced in the general category which was 19398. I have not been properly introduced to the course faculty yet as in the first year no specific branch-related subjects are taught like every student studies the same subjects and appears for the same examinations in the first two semesters irrespective of the branch.
