I liked the beauty of this campus. It's too huge to explore.
In our college seniors are too supportive.
I liked the most thing is we have oldest campus in all iit.

Dislikes

If you mess with professor you won't be able to get degree.
Location of our campus is too bad. Nothing to travel here.
Our closest city kolkat is 4 hour away from us.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because I'm deeply interested in agriculture and food engineering course. We have a student ratio of 1:4. And our professor's teaching skills are awesome. Thier way of explaining every topic is good.

Class Size: 130Course Fees: INR 150000 per year

Placement Experience

Placement of our college is very nice. We have highest package of 4 crore last year. And currently of this year highest package is 1.8 crore LPA. In our college more than 400+ companies comes to our college for hiring students.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee of my course agriculture and food engineering is approx 151000. And my college providing me scholarship also. They waived off my 100000 rupees. And if you are from economical weak section your fee will also waived off.

Campus Life

Campus life in IIT Kharagpur is one of the best life I have ever had. We organise two famous fest i.e. spring fest and ksthij fest held in January month every year. We have all extra curricular activities music and all sports.

Hostel Facilities

I am a border of rajendra Prasad hall of residence. In my hall they provide us 3 seater room. They give us 1 bed, 1 amlirah and study table. Food quality of my hall is enough good. We have a library in our hall for students.

Hostel Fee: INR 37000 per year

Admission

I took two entrance exam for this college. First I cleared jee mains after that jee advance. You can find all details related to the entrance exam on thier respective websites. Last year cutoff for Jee Mains was 87 percentile of the gen category.

Campus life: Hype vs Truth

Placement Experience:

I heard it from seniors that before lockdown it was pretty decent but after lockdown the company visits are not that much comapred to before lockdown.Cognizent, Accenture, Mindtree, PQ360 which is a startup company of our senior alumni etc. visits.

Placement Experience:

Well as far as mh knowledge students get to placements from 6th semester itself . Well there are placement classes from 3rd semester itself . The placement track record of the college is quite good with most year about 90% gets placed with good companies comming like Deloitte, EY GDS , JP MORGAN, Oracle , offering high amount of placement offers like around 20+ lpa . Well I am not sure about my plans maybe if the palacement is good I'll take it or will be preparing for GATE (Whose courses are also provided from college .)

The life in HITK

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placement in cse, it ,ece and sometimes elec branches. The others dpt also offers a quite unique variety of placements from different companies. Nearly 60 percent of the students have been placed in this year and others are still on board for a positive response.

A Deep Dive into JGEC

Placement Experience:

From 4th year the students become eligible for on campus placements. Few companies that visited are BEL which offered 12lpa , wtw which also offered 12lpa , TCS which offered 9 lpa highest, and many more . Highest package offered this year was 54lpa by Microsoft (off campus) . On campus highest was BEL which offered 12 lpa , the average package is around 8 lpa . My plan is to prepare myself for government exams and get a job by the end of my 4th year .

the cirricullum is quite relevent and comprehensive . BTECH program especially CSE includes specializations like data sciene , cybersecurity, IOT, etc . Exams are held twice in a semester . the college could include hand on learning through workshop , industry project and interships .
