JISCE Campus and Infrastructure

JISCE’s Academic Resources on campus comprise 71 classrooms, 21 tutorial rooms, 10 smart class rooms, 1205 computers, 2 auditoriums, 2 conference rooms, and 57 laboratories. Apart from that, the campus features separate student and staff canteens, one male housing building, and two female housing buildings. The hostel fee is payable quarterly, except at the time of joining, when it is to be paid for the entire semester along with the Admission Fee. The hostel fee is INR 5500 per month. Campus life at JISCE involves opting to be part of some of the various clubs and societies, and participating in many inter-college sports events. JISCE Campus also has Emergency Medical Care and an Anti-Ragging Squad.

Likes

Faculties are experienced, friendly and knowledgeable.
Green Campus and great infrastructure with variety of sports facilities.
Fests and extra curricular activities always promoted.

Dislikes

On campus wifi is a gimmick, Jio provides hotspot but the data is not free.
Administration of exams and other things are done in a very unprofessional manner.
Canteen and hostel food is not good at all.

Student view on course curriculum

Curriculum is constantly updated to meet the future industrial and academic needs. Research is widely promoted along with entrepreneurship. One area in which improvement is needed is the choice of elective subjects.

Internship opportunity provided by the college

Camptratech and JIS Group offered internship opportunity to students. Unrelated opportunities like Sales and Marketing were also there. This is the one area where improvement is much needed. Some companies offered internship but they never reverted back.

Top company recruiting from the campus

Plenty of employment opportunities after course completion except during recession. College did provide various related placements such as TCS, EY, Deloitte, Accenture, HCL, etc. Few organisations were completely unrelated such as Marketing and Customer care.

Total course fees and provided scholarship

State scholarships are available like SVMCM, OASIS and minority scholarship. The fee structure have been revised as the duration is increased by a year and also it is the normal practice to increase the fees every academic session. I've paid 235000 in total. Exam fee to the university of 1200 to be paid every semester. Uniform and transportation cost were included in the total fees. Hostel charges are extra applicable.

Various activities organize in the campus

Infrastructure is great as mentioned before. One turn off thing is the HVAC system in labs, they never work properly. Various groups and clubs are available like, GDSC, photography, music, etc. These greatly impact the social life of student. Various sports facilities and game room is available along with a roof top cafe.

Students and faculty ratio and exams

1:5 Faculty ratio is there. Everyone is very approachable and helpful. Availability is really appreciating. I liked Ritadrik, Kallol, Aniruddha, Shamayaita for their wisdom, experience and approachability. Hated Sumit for childish behaviour and unprofessionalism. There are 4CA exams every semester and an end sem.

Admission process and eligibilty criteria

I chose because this is a renowned institution and near to the place I live. To get admitted into Bca, CET exam is the key to success. Admission process is smooth. I did get into other colleges but their fees were so much inflated.

My College Life tour can never be described in words but through emotions

Ambience of the college, teaching strategies, learning procedure.
Cultural festival celebration, multiple activities.

Admission:

To get into Engineering college we have to sit for either JEE Mains or WBJEE after clearing any of this, the rank will get you into sny of this course. During Couselling I got into AOT in Adisaptagram. But the distance from my house is quite far so my parents wanted me to get into any nearby college. So when I took admission in JIS College of Engineering, I got in with my WBJEE rank. The admission process went quite well. It was interesting as they asked why I wanted to choose this course out of all. The rank cutoff varies year to year. But a minimum rank is required to get in.

I got this college from the wbjee counselling. In wbjee examination you have to score good rank and take part in counseling for the admission. In counseling you have to choose some list of colleges by your preference and take part in the counselling. By wbjee councelling they provide you a college where you take admission.

I like the environment in this college it is open and safe.
No ragging happens in the college that is the best thing.

Dislikes

The most disappointing things is that they are taking so much money but not reparing the minimum requirement things of students.
The front gate ground is so low whenever rain occurs it looks like it's flooded.

I choose this college because this college was good in among all the average colleges in West Bengal leaving the top colleges. The placement is also good. So for all this reason I choose this college. I wanted to go for heritage but my name didn't came in cutoff. The admission process is very simple if u want to take admission just bring ur class 12 result and the result of entrance exam you gave. According to you marks they will give you course permission. If you don't get satisfied with course you can negotiate with the college.

Fests and extra curricular activities always promoted.
Green Campus and great infrastructure with variety of sports facilities.

Dislikes

On campus wifi is a gimmick, Jio provides hotspot but the data is not free.
Administration of exams and other things are done in a very unprofessional manner.

Likes

Along with the Green-Life, ragging free campus, there has many sport activities like indoor(badminton, table-tennis, chess, carrom, billiards ) or outdoor games(cricket, football).
As a engineering college, environment makes students enthusiastic for tech stuffs. In this college many there has nice coding culture, along with supportive environment in open innovations and various TECH FESTS take place every year which motivates.

Dislikes

Needed to open cafeteria perfectly and make the common room accessible for every students for college hours

Admission:

Well as every IIT-JEE aspirant, every students have dream to crack it and make ways to IITs, Top NITs or IIITs, I also had and for being ill for my IIT-JEE times, I was not able to make mine. However, from my personal perspective, as JISCE is situated near my home, it's far better to take admission in this college without overwhelemed journey. In West Benal, there has many college but NAAC A acreecated and UGC approved JISCE would be a best choice for me and took this college for admission.
