Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is absolutely brilliant.But the saddest part is you have to do the work from your own part to have the topics cleared before semester exams. Faculties are not really good enough for teaching. They do have got higher qualifications and degrees but yeah things work that way. You will get to know how to lead a life of your own instead of what we have been living since our childhood.

Internships Opportunities

Obviously a lot of internship opportunities are made available that too via CDC. Btech fourth year students sit for their internship and summer away projects at their 3rd year. Dual degree students finish them in their fourth year. Faculty members are also really helpful in completing projects and diversifying our resume.

Placement Experience

Campus placements do happen at full throttle every year. We do have a body called career development centre to ensure every pass out student gets placed. Many topics companies in every field visit the campus every year that too with a median package of 20 lakh per annum.

Fees and Financial Aid

Indian Institute of technologys do have a higher fee structure. But you can get financial assistance once your family income certificates are verified. Category based fee waiver is also there .You will get to know about various scholarships via your faculty advisors itself.

Freedom, Exposure and Experience!!!!. I would describe my college in these three words. A lot of co curricular activities happens every semester. Infact we do have a Gymkhana controlling every such activities. Fest happens every year. Hundreds of societies and cells do work within the campus.

Hostel Facilities

Some Hostels are poorly conditioned. As freshers we had a terribly poor experience at halls. Most of the rooms are dated back to 80s or 70s. Also had some bad experience like wallet robbery and all. Mess food is also terrible.

Admission

I have took admission after clearing JEE advanced examination. Cutoff for the admission varies every year. You may confirm this with josaa official website. Being the premium institute in India,you will get to meet brightest of the minds here in the college and let it be any IIT you will experience the same. Be prepared for your coming JEE advanced. If your mind wishes for engineering or technology, let there be no option other than IIT.

Placement Experience:

Eligibility for placement is from 3rd year,with tier 1 companies visiting like Google, Amazon along with mass requiters like TCS, Capgemini, Wipro etc.Last year heights placement package was 72LPA offered to 15 students and average was 2-3 LPA.

Okay college and decent placement

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is same as all low 3 tier colleges which is nearly 4-5 lpa average salary given by mass recuitor companies .The companies are infosys , ltimindtree , accenture , ibm , capgemini , cognigent , etc .The placement rate is nearly 60 to 70 percent.

Heritage Institute of Technology: A Detailed Observation

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for campus placements from third year that is after 5th semester. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant and IBM are amongst the mass hirers. Almosy 80 percent of the students get placed every year and the top 10 percent of the students receive high paying job offers. The average package is around 4.86 LPA and in 2023, the highest package was 16 LPA and in 2022, the highest package was 44 LPA. Talking about my future plans, I wish to pursue my masters abroad after completing my undergraduate course here.

Placement Experience:

Despite the low fee structure, my college provides a good placements. Almost every student of CSE Dept who sit for placement, gets the placement between 4lpa - 6lpa. Last year the highest package was ?12 lpa. ECE department has the lowest percentage of placements. And other engineering departments have between 60-70% placement. All the mentioned above is the description of in campus placement. Not many students of my college opt for out campus. But if they do, they get good placements as per the reports. In 2021 a student secured the job in Microsoft, with the placement of ?45 lpa (out campus).

Other colleges I applied for is IIT Delhi because it is nearer to my home and is well reputed college and have a great field in Tech.I opt this college because I am interested in Tech field. I finally chose IIT KGP beacuse it is providing me better branch than IIT Delhi and I got interested in this college beacuse my teacher in myh senior schoo is also from IIT KGP they taught me a lot of stories of there college time and I talked to some seniors of college for admissionb regarding prespective so they advised for IIT KGP.Therefore I chose IIT KGP over IIT Delhi.
