Well qualified faculty members and their teaching & their behaviour.
The laboratories of this college is much modern and well equipped.
Clean Classroom,Good curriculum & very disciplined.

Dislikes

75% attendance criteria.You have to come colleges regularly to fullfill 75% attendance.
The food quality of the mess is not that good and they don't maintain the hygiene properly.
The college is in city so the campus is small.

What are the placement opportunities in the college and average package?

The placement cell of this college is good enough.They prepare you for placement interviews in many ways. The college gives good placements to the CSE and IT students but the placement ratio of the other branches are not good enough. Course curriculum is designed in a very good way, that you can cover all the aspects of computer science and get placed in a good company. This course covers all the important topics which are required for job and placements. Teaching methods are good, but it will give us more exposure if we start focusing on practicals more. Semester wise exam occur and difficulty level in moderate.

The college is in the city. So the campus is very small. The Campus life is not that good. This college is full of annual functions, celebrity nights, and freshers party, farewell party, they celebrate new year with lots of energy and vibes. You can easily get any book from the library and classrooms are well designed and spacious with projector classes..

Faculty and learning experience in the campus

There are 206 studenta in our CSE branch & we are divided into 3 sections (CSE A , CSE B , CSE C). There are 21 full time faculty members for the CSE department.The faculties are well educated and very helpful. They are qualified enough for the role and teach in a modern way with the help of an online projector presentation. You can easily approach faculties , they are very supportive. In our college, All teachers present mock exam every month. So that we can prepare for the semester exam.

I applied for other colleges like Narula institute of technology and Netaji Subhas Engineering College but I choose BP poddar institute of management and technology. The main reason for choosing the college is Low Fees and Good Faculties and very well environment. The admission process of this college occurs in many steps. College infrastructure is not really good.

As you know besides some renowned colleges almost all the colleges in Kolkata are of Tier 3 and are almost same,the average package lies around 4-6 lpa.So, I opt for B.P Poddar as it have a lower fees compared to Netaji Subhash Engineering College and Techno Main SaltLake which i was getting.

It feels kinda cheated. I've enrolled in these college seeing the 4Lakh fees but suddenly they increased it without any notices. So overall don't expect much from a makaut affiliated college. Keep expectations low.

Likes

Girls are studying in our class. Girls to boys ratio is 43:20
Connectivity is good. The campus is situated infront of the main road. The airport is nearby.
This college is absolutely ragging free. Infact the seniors are very helpful.

Dislikes

Lack of coding environment. Coding environment here is decent.
This college doesn't provide a great campus. It is decent and not enjoyable.
The campus doesn't have a playground where students could play and enjoy fests. And any cultural event is organised in seminar hall.

I appeared for an entrance exam and I got a seat for CSE (data science) course at Techno International New Town. But I filled upgradation form and went for round 2. And I got a seat for Information Technology course at B. P. Poddar Institute of Management and Technology. So I took admission in this college rather than taking risks of going to round 3. At our college students can get admission by giving entrance exams like JEE Mains and WBJEE. Cutoffs for different courses vary every year. And spot counselling is also an option for admission.

The faculties are really good and helpful. They are always welcoming. We can ask for help at anytime. The lectures are really good. They provide study materials for the semester exams. Overall teaching is good
The infrastructure is really good. We have AC in all the labs , and cc tv in labs and classrooms. The computers in the lab is of good quality they are regularly monitored.
Our college has several clubs and forums. Like for sports, performing arts and for technology. Every year our college organises technical fest and in every 3 year it organises cultural fest

Dislikes

The campus is small due to its location we don't have dedicated field to play on
We have only one lift ,, for that it is difficult to get space in the lift we have to take stairs maximum time

We have to appear on wbjee or jee mains to get into this college. I got into the college based on my wb jee rank. The course fees is relatively less than most other engineering colleges. This is a value for money deal. My rank was 26800 in the wb jee. And I got IT in this college but then I changed my course to cse. Because I scored above 8.5 gpa in the 1st year

No I don't apply for any other college.from the beginning I decided that I will join this college.the main reason is the location of the college is prime in the heart of the kolkata near airport. The admission process is by wbjee councelling .admission process is so smooth.

My experience at BP Poddar

Zero ragging or bullying of fresher students

Dislikes

The building is not that big and that it is small
There is almost no campus just a building

Admission:

I applied to colleges like techno, eiilm etc. I got selected in bp poddar I choose this college because of the reputation and the reviews from the alumni. I got rejected in one college because not having enough rank.

Life at BPPIMT

Likes

The labs with latest technologies are also a well pointed effectiveness for me.

Dislikes

The parking area is small and so the activity room.
The campus doesn't have a playground so it's quite upsetting as an athelete.

Admission:

I opted this college for known seniors and their experiences. I'm happy to get admitted here. This college gives you a good environemnt and friendliness in everywhere. Previously during councilling I got admission in IEM but the admission fees is quite high and the route is also difficult for me so I decided to get admission here where I can afford too. I got this college through counselling and I'm happy though. For regular students, You've to give WBJEE or JEE. For Lateral entries, Jelet is the only exam that allows to get admission.

Candidates must qualify Joint Entrance Examination for Master of Computer Application conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (JECA). Candidate should have passed Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 3 years duration (i.e. BCA, BSc) with 50% marks at graduation level and Mathematics at 10+2 level or Graduation Level. Admissions have been concluded.
